Question About Level-up Bonus

In morrowind, when the skill get upgraded, the stat related to this skill will get bonus after you sleep for level-up. Which means, if I get Heavy Armor +10 points before I get level-up. I would be able to get +5 bonus to Endurance after I sleep for level-up. No matter Heavy Armor is my major skill or not, this would constantly happen.

So, I put the skills which I seldom use to major skills(Seldom use, hard to get upgraded. as major skill would give them +20 bonus at the beginning) and the skills I often use to minor skills(Often use, easy to get upgraded. Not need for +20 bonus). This strategy works well in morrowind.

In oblivion, I did the same thing. But this time, after I have upgraded Heavy Armor(in my minor skill) for more than 10 points, the level-up bonus for Endurance is still +2.

I do not know why.....does this mean the upgrade of minor skills in oblivion can not affect the related stats as in morrowind????

Anyone knows the level-up rules of oblivion? Many thanks.

The new change in Oblivion is that skills you raise AFTER acquiring enough skills for a new level, but before you sleep count for the next level up, not the current one. So you can't train up a skill after getting to the level-up point and have it help you this time.

Emm, you mean if I want to have +5 bonus for Endurance this time. I have to rasie Heavy Armor for 10 points BEFORE I have enough skills for level-up ??

Well, I will have a try. Thanks a lot.
