Fix crashing to desktop!

So im new to modding, and i know i've probably ♥♥♥♥ed up somewhere...but i'd like some insight on what i can do to prevent my game from crashing as much as it is. I've cleaned all the mods with tes5, i use nmm and BOSS.

i know installing / uninstalling mods into a game is really bad at making CTD happen, but i've done it a few times and had hoped for the best. But even so, my game is crashing just as much as before. i can SOMETIMES recreate the CTD, but for the most part it seems sporadic. i've enabled my papyrus logs, but i have NO idea what it means, but im sure the culprit (or culprits) are in the log! someone help please? And would it be better to just start a new game with a fresh install of all of skyrim + mods to minimize crashing?

 

and if someone can tell me how to post the papyrus log without having to paste a wall of text, i'll edit it with the log file to be further helped, haha

hi, sure...int he box you type in , top row of icons, 3rd one (Special BBcode) in teh dropdown is "Spoiler" paste the text in the box. OR you can try the manual way...i always type mine out...lol

Give it a try! learn the manual way , then even forums that don't have the cheat box will still work! but then you would have to teach, because people will ask...how you do that...lmao.

You've got the right utilities.

You really NEED at least one game fix; Sheson's heap allocation patch. You get that in the form of SSME or SKSE Alpha 1.7.0.

A Steam re-install doesn't revert to vanilla Skyrim. Follow this process from STEP if you're going to re-install.

Vanilla INI files. Once more, Vanilla INI files. I would say the biggest cause of issues in Skyrim right now are bad ini tweaks. The STEP crew has THE best info on modding Skyrim, including INI tweaks that actually work.
