Lost any control

Played Fallout some time without any problems.

But after reinstalling Windows XP and Fall, i got trouble.

 

In approx 1-2 min in game fall lost control, don't response to mouse movement оr keyboard press.

Hero moves to last direction, pressed on keyboard, until hit the wall or any else.

 

Reinstaling F3 don't solve problem.

 

Before reinstalling i used XP SP2

After - XP SP3

 

GPU drivers used the same.

 

What i do wrong, what can i do to solve?

 

P.S. I tried old saves only, will try new game evening.

2 things are all your drivers upto date ?

 

uninstalled and re-installed the mouse and keyboard drivers

 

also use auto updater in Internet Explorer

 

Click tools then update windows , with your fresh install you may of missed something.

 

is you keyboard and mouse doing weird things with other programs ?

 

test it out with some other game...

 

i would have to say this is a driver issue with you mouse and keyboard being out of date .....

No custom drivers for keyboard and mouse. Used native windows drivers for.

I got more time last month and play lot of games. More then 10. Include STALKER, Modern Warfare, Left4Dead, Crysis etc. There only one game with control problem - F3.

 

Will try update windows, but on old windows xp sp2 F3 works fine.

 

Strange, that problem appears after reinstalling windows, all be ok before.

 

For what update Internet Explorer? F3 not use any part of IE, AFAIK. May be for launcher only.

 

 

And yes, i need help! I want play F3 )))))))

 

P.S. Hi level of Anisotropy (16) cause trouble like this, but not the same: some delay of movement.

Hero continue move around one half second after release key.

Change 16 samples to 6 eliminate that delay.

Addendum.

 

When this happen, F3 only loose control by keyboard and mouse.

The game don't freeze, compass mark blinks, help messages appears.

If minimize and restore application - F3 exit to menu.

 

Tried start new game - that not helps.

hmmm whats the specs of you new pc , is fallout 3 up to date , what mods do you have installed if any , oh did starting a new game work ? , one other thing did you copy over all your files from your old computer ?

another thing to try is check the control settings from the main menu. fallout3 often forgets some of my controls so I have to reset them

It is the same pc, no changes, absolutely. Reinstalled windows XP only.

 

F3 installed from Special Edition Disc with official Bethesda addons. No mods.

Save files was backuped and restored.

 

Started new game, half-hour game played ok. After, troubles began again every 2-5 minutes.

Control setting no forgets. When F3 loose control, i end task from Task Manager, then start again. All work fine. 2-5 minutes :(
