GandhisLunchbox
I have a good character preset and I want to share it and upload it to the Nexus but I have no idea how to get the preset in a file. Help is appreciated. Edited May 15, 2014 by GandhisLunchbox
Anikma
What do you mean by preset? Do you mean save file?
GandhisLunchbox
No like the actual preset of the character. Like when you're in the race menu and you can choose presets of the different races. Is this even possible?
IsharaMeradin
Are you wanting to know how to make the preset? Is the preset already made and you want to know how it should be packaged for the Nexus?
GandhisLunchbox
Yeah I've got the preset saved using race menu but I don't know how or if I can get the preset in a file.
IsharaMeradin
Hmm...If you just want to share the RaceMenu preset file and list the mod requirements (those that you included in the character design)Locate the RaceMenu saved preset file (.slot) at the following location:Data > SKSE > Plugins > CharGen > PresetsFigure out which .slot file is for the preset you want to shareCreate a clean directory structure somewhere that mimics the folder structureCopy the preset into the appropriate spotUse 7zip, WinRar or other archive utility to make a 7z, RAR or ZIP fileUpload it to the NexusSuggest to users that they install manually so that they can rename the .slot file so that it will not overwrite any presets that they have saved themselves. However, if they have not saved any presets then they could install via NMM If you want to make it usable by anyone not using RaceMenu or the mods that were included in the creationI'm not sure on this one. RaceMenu uses information in a different way to create the face than the base game. At least the information obtained by the SPF console command (which is used to get the NPC file for use in the CK) is not complete.
