I wanted to replace the vampires eyes,but i can't find the file...I think that LTD Vampire Overhaul have changed its location because by default itsdata\textures\characters\eyes\eyevampire.dds right? so if anyone knows where it could be I would really apreciate your help(kudos) Thank You! :thanks: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DavidBudreck Posted December 25, 2009 Share Posted December 25, 2009 All the default Oblivion objects are located in Oblivion.bsa; you won't find them freestanding in the data folder unless they have been added by some other mod. You can unpack all or parts of the file using BSAcommander http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3311, or one of the other BSA utility mods. Replacing textures from the Oblivion.bsa file is tricker than normal, because Oblivion looks first in the BSA file, THEN in the data folder. To override the default texture, use what is known as "Archive Invalidation." This is not as difficult as it seems. Create a file named "ArchiveInvalidation.txt" in your Oblivion folder (-NOT- the Data folder) --there may already be one there. Inside this file, list any textures you want to override, namely "textures\characters\eyes\eyevampire.dds" (just like shown here).
