Rise of Ouroboros: Crusade

Thank you, ub3rman123!

I am missing a few textures actually, and one or

two meshes. Some parts of the land textures are

missing. The leaf textures are missing.

Apparently, it's the bridges that are missing "extBridge01" I think may be the only one.

The walkable part of the twisting ramp has a missing texture. You can see here.

Even without that, though, I must say that those screenshots don't do this place justice.

It's enormous, twisting, dark and just perfect in every way. Everything looks so different,

exactly as a custom daedric realm should. That cave is a masterpiece especially. I've never

gone through one that feels as much like a cave as it does.

Thank you so much for making it all.

Thank you!

I've got it, everything is there now. It really does look great. I'll post a video after I've gotten everything ready.

In that empty tower you'll accidentally stumble upon Voldran Indoril (Azura's general) and some dremora

discussing how the closer they get to the main tower the more mindlessly violent the Uber-Nocturnals are.

Also gives you a tip off to Voldran being a little "off" as he looks right at you before he leaves but says nothing

and leaves you to kill the dremora.

That little scene will let the player now that the next Uber-Nocturnals they will encounter are dangerous, too.

Well, right now I'm not sure.

There are a few other places that you could try your hand

at making. This is meant to be a fairly enormous project.

I planned sojourns into each of the various

Prince's realms. Some small, some enormous.

The idea is that Azura's army is so vast that you need help to

defend the city that you build (well, there's also the city itself...)

from it during the final siege (a little like "Allies for Bruma" but

you have to do it because you'd be dead if you don't)

The two largest I had planned were Shade Perilous and Coldharbor.

Coldharbor has the unique benefit of using mainly existing

architecture. The plan that I had for it was to have it basically

as a ruined version of the Imperial City.

This is the only description from the book "Doors of Oblivion":

'The sky is on fire,' I heard him say as he moved on to the next realm. 'The ground is sludge, but traversable. I see blackened ruins all around me, like a war was fought here in the distant past. The air is freezing. I cast blooms of warmth all around me, but it still feels like daggers of ice stabbing me in all directions.'

This was Coldharbour, where Molag Bal was Prince. It appeared to Zenas as if it were a future Nirn, under the King of Rape, desolate and barren, filled with suffering. I could hear Morian Zenas weep at the images he saw, and shiver at the sight of the Imperial Palace, spattered with blood and excrement.

Quite a nasty place, as you can see.

Other places would either be small or cop-outs.

Like Malacath's Ashpit, which appears to be mainly

vaporous, so we can't send you there.

Peryite's Pits you get to visit in his quest, and it is supposed

to look exactly like the Deadlands because the Pits are basically

the basement of Hell (as Peryite is one of the evil daedra).

He also gave consent to Ouroboros' ascenscion, so I doubt

we need to talk to him.

Meridia's Colored Rooms was going to be a really

small area (a few colored rooms, actually) based

on Poe's "The Masque of Red Death."

Hircine's Hunting Grounds... Well, I have no unique ideas here. It's

supposed to be a maze (there is a foliage maze resource), but you

won't spend a lot of time there, so might as well be a small forest.

Hermaeus Mora's Apocrypha. Already been there in the

first half, and Hermaeus clearly already has agreed to help

Ouroboros in the battles.

Azura's Moonshadow, well as she's the antagonist, we

probably aren't going to go here, but a small quest, using

the painted world's resources isn't out of the question.

Namira's Scuttling Void... Shipwrecks? That's all I got.

Clavicus Vile's realm (no known name) is basically a grazing field.

I would rather have him and his big dog in a throne room filled with

gold. Probably a "cop-out" realm.

Sanguine's Realm. No... Just no...

A small room with lots of wines

and pretty servants.

Vaermina's Quagmire, now this one is interesting. I haven't figured

out what the puzzle will be, but this would be a series of "nightmare"

rooms that after a time limit changes about. It does this until you

finally reach Vaermina (or get scared to death)

Mephala's Realm. No mortal can enter here and

she gave her consent to Ouroboros when he ascended,

so no reason to visit here, really.

Boethiah's Attribution Share... I got nothing.

We've already been there. It was kind of boring.

The other part is the city. It's in it's own worldspace, one of the "pocket" realms

of Oblivion. The idea being that it's a full Telvanni town, mixed with Imperial architecture

(Like Tel Vos was) that you slowly build up by recruiting/converting wandering NPCs

(ones we add) to be inhabitants. It's part Telvanni because Divayth Fyr and his daughters

show up to help you during the construction. (As you solved that question he'd been

stewing over for centuries, he's got some extra time on his hands.)

Other than all that, I can't think of

anything else that can be done yet.

Lots to do, but as I said before, do whatever interests

you. If you don't do it, I'll get around to it eventually.

Mainly it's locations right now.

Well, I promised creative control of Coldharbour to DagonTheranis, as it was his idea.

He's not been about here recently, though, so I'll PM him about it.

You can certainly have the Hunting Grounds and any other place you like.

I believe Ghogiel, or someone, created a wearable Hircine armor too. I'm

sure we could get permission to use it. For the quest, after which he awards

you his aid, I was imagining something based on the "The Greatest Game"

story. Basically, he hunts you, and if you succeed he agrees. If you have

a better idea though, please share it.

I suppose Ashpit would work as a sort of cloudy realm, but it says that you

can't breathe there without magical assistance. Of course, we could always have

some sort of amulet.

Didn't Sheogorath say that Malacath's realm had an actual spine? We could build

on that, have the spine be sort of a long bridge, as you have no levitation you fall

off, you die. Then maybe his palace is... A big skull?

Well, whatever, please feel free to do whatever interests you, as I said.

I'll see about some of the smaller, interior, realms for now.
