ub3rman123
If anyone can make the spehere, inside and out, I can use the pic he posted earlier for a texture. I just need the sphere.
zprospero
Well, the texture is easy. It's just the ebony tile. I made a quick sphere, mapped it, and put it in game. How big do you want this thing? Is this enough, or bigger/smaller?http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/Orb.jpg
ub3rman123
That's big enough. Gimme, and I'll add it to the place and build the throneroom.
zprospero
Okay, I tried adding collision. Thisis the part that may not work. If it doesn'tjust use some collision boxes. Also, you can use it for both the inside and outside, but the inside won't really react to light very well. Though that might be appropriate for Nocturnal's throne. To get the size right you'll probably have to play with the scale, asI had to do it again for the collision, so not sure how big it is this time. ub3rman123
Here's what I got:http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/Moon.jpg?t=1267665658
zprospero
So, we're going with the moon-like texture? That looks great, then. Perhaps a glow-map so it stands out,as the entire realm's pretty dark? That would make it aboutthe only bright thing in the realm, and a good landmark tojudge where you're at (I got lost a lot). ub3rman123
I've just made it so its emissive, so it should be visible enough. And lost? Good.. Muhuhahah.
zprospero
Sounds good. Yes, quite lost. That cave in particular, I honestly thought I clipped through into aninescapable area once. (I didn't of course, just couldn't find the exit) You did an excellent job on that particularly. When it's stocked with Uber-Nocturnals thatplace will be a horrifying challenge. Argomirr
I'm not much good at interior/exterior design, but Vaermina's realm seems like a nice challenge. I'm thinking a dungeon that actually changes shape continuously, mostly by cleverly disabling and enabling parts of the tileset, but also at certain point having the moving walls or something before the player's eyes - and when he finally thinks he's gotten out, the realm completely changes into something much worse. It would require some innovative scripting. I love innovating scripting. :P Thoughts?
