kieranfoy
Mephala, for one,, although she's said to change gender depending on the preferences of who she's seducing. However, she's usually shown as female, and it's be hard to script a gender swap (or, for that matter, to have a subtle means of determining the characters preferences!). I do like the echo, though. Reminds me of Mehrunes Dagon and Dagoth Ur from Morrowind.
zprospero
Yeah, I thought about Mephala, but she/he's already given his/herconsent to Ouroboros, that and no mortal can enter his/her realmanyway. So I doubt we'll be meeting Mephala. If we have any voiceover from him/her I'll just have a femalevoice actor do the lines and I'll do the lines and overlay them. That way the whole "duality" thing is more preserved. EDIT: Also, one thing that I'd like to start thinking aboutis how to make the Princes look like themselves. Here's a link to a site (it's all in french) that shows some of theoriginal sprites from the earlier games: Daggerfall Sprites(Warning! Minor nudity in some images.) Some of these seem much more doable that themore fantastic versions of Oblivion's Princes. Are there any you see that could be made fromexisting resources or mods, or ones that we'll haveto start making official requests for?
ub3rman123
Well, Sheogorath would be very easy. Unless you want to add in another script so you meet Haskill instead if the player's turned him into Jyggy. Boethiah.. You got permission for the Morrowind-style Daedric armor? That'd work.Dagon should be easy as well.Now.. Mr. Cthulu/Mora looks like nothing I've seen before. Why don't you just do a disembodied voice on that one? Sanguine: Give him red skin, faded blue mage's robe, close enough.I'd go with a disembodied voice with Peryite as well.Vaermina, Mephala, and Namira all seem to be wearing black robes, Dark Brotherhood style.Malacath: Give the orc pants and a sword and call it a day.Molag Bal: An Argonian tail for him.. Orc skin?
zprospero
Well, we won't be revisiting Sheogorath. He and Ealdor were friends already. I agree with using the daedric armor for Boethiah. It does look like that. Mehrunes Dagon won't be included. We're sayinghe's still in the Waters of Oblivion reforming. We've already visited Mora and he was instrumentalin Ealdor's ascension so no reason to see him again. Sanguine would probably be a retextured Orc with horns. Yeah, Malacath's going to be one of the easiest. Molag Bal, well I was working on something butI don't know if I can pull it off. We'll see. I'm working on something for Hircine. Argomirr
I did the first part of the scripting for the prototype (which will consist of only the part with the stairs, because adding anything to this system takes ages). 264 lines so far, most of it is variable declaring, the rest is the part that handles the opening and closing of doors. zprospero
@L33 Awesome, thanks so much, man! @Argomirr Um... Sorry. ;D It sounds great. Wow, 264 lines already?I think the only script I've written that was even closeto that long was that book trap in Apocrypha, and thatwas mostly copy and paste. Thanks again for all the work. It'll beawesome to see it when it's finished. ^^
Argomirr
Haha, well, most of this is copy pasting as well. :P Just need to make sure the refs and variables are swapped correctly. I am using lots of variables, though, more than necessary really. Mostly because it's easier to typeSet D1 to ROOQuagmireRuins01Door1and then use "D1" instead than doing thisROOQuagmireRuins01Door1.Activateall the time. :P I'm also too lazy to copy paste the refs all the time. [EDIT]Wow. You actually placed 200 references and scripted them to be moved to the player if he activates a book there? When I touched a book in game I really thought it was a PlaceAtMe call. :P
Pronam
If possible, don't forget the possibility of parenting..It saves a lot of references if you can even link those to different objects.
Argomirr
Yup, I'm using parent refs to control the enabled state of the sections. Wouldn't be doable otherwise. ;D
