kirshan
Looking for a good tutorial on how to include multiple Custom Races as NPC's. I have several custom race mods installed and would like to see them represented in game, just a few in major cities and settlements to add flavor and realism to my version of Skyrim. I come from a D&D/Pathfinder RPG back ground so some of my custom races aren't Lore Friendly, but it's my game just think it would be nice to see a few fellow plane travelers walking around. If anyone can point me in the right direction would help.
IsharaMeradin
First decide if you want one ESP that handles all the custom races or one ESP per custom race. The first would require that the user has all those race mods installed. The second would allow the user to select only those race mods that they wanted. Either way, the original race mod(s) needs to be a parent of your new plugin. There is a way to do it in TES5Edit, but I'm not sure of the details. The other route uses WryeBash and instructions are here: http://www.creationkit.com/Tutorial:_Using_third-party_mod_records When you actually get to making edits... (a general walkthrough -- I've never done what you want. I just know where you need to go)Open the Creation KitSelect all the master files you will be working with and load them upFind the actor records of the NPCs you want to change. On the traits tab change the race to your desired custom race.OK out of the record and reopen itPreview the actor's headYou may need to assign new values to different aspects, make it look how you want it. (Character Gen Parts tab)Repeat for every actor record you want in that raceSave the plugin so that the mod has a nameHighlight each actor record and press CTRL+F4Save the plugin again to be safeExit the CKEnsure it is active and loading where you wantTest it out in game.
