Consistent CTDs

I'm having a weird issue with my Skyrim installation. I'm getting persistent and repeatable CTD's in three situations.

 

1) After talking to Skjor and becoming a werewolf, I'm sent properly to Vanilla Whiterun, (running Open Cities), and everything is fine until the timer runs out. Then the loading screen pops, and the instant it's finished, the game crashes to the desktop. No Crash Log.

 

2) When talking to Delphine after retrieving the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller, after she tells me to give her a minute to change into her traveling clothes, the instant her sentence is finished, the game CTD's. Again, No Crash Log.

 

3) If I have any kind of Bounty with the Whiterun guards, the instant I select an option, either take me to jail or pay the fine, the game CTD's. Once again, No Crash Log.

 

I've attached my Modlist, and I use neither BOSS, nor LOOT. I can attach a Papyrus Log if necessary, but I'm not seeing anything in those that could be a cause. This is more than a little frustrating and I'm hoping someone is able to help.

Well, Skyrim doesn't have a crash log.

 

The problem you describe could be related to mod conflicts or load order.

I would strongly suggest using either BOSS or LOOT.

Both BOSS and LOOT not only order mods, but they also generate a log that has a lot of useful information that may help you solve your problem.

When you use either of these, open the log and read it.

Take care of all the messages about TES5Edit, any mods needing patches, etc. That may solve your problem.

If you are determined not to use the load order generated by BOSS, you can open the BOSS GUI to revert the changes to your prior load order.

 

Gopher has helpful videos about BOSS, LOOT, and using TES5Edit to clean your mods and troubleshoot your load order.

If you are dead set against using BOSS or LOOT, then I recommend you open up all of your mods in TES5Edit to look for problems manually and set your load order.

 

Also, a heads up--given the huge number of security issues running around the web, and even this site, lately, people are much less likely to look at your info if you make it an attachment to be downloaded. That is probably why your load order has 0 downloads. You may have better luck getting people to read your info id you add f in text version to your post, and then enclose in spoiler tags.

I've always had issues using BOSS and things like it. And what I meant by no crash log is that normally a program dies and Microsoft informs me the program has stopped working and asks if I want to send a message about it. And I don't get one of those.

 

I'll try cleaning the files with TES5Edit.

 

Curiously, I can get arrested in Dawnstar, Morthal and Falkreath, but not Whiterun, Solitude or any city with a proper jail.

 

Also, thanks for the help.

 

Edit: Cleaning didn't help, so I'll try LOOT. Hope that has an idea.

Figured it out. My problem was with Sneak Tools. System just stopped liking it. No particular reason.
