verrik
When I start the game with some mods and on the wagon ulfric is missing his gag and could this be something to do with immersive armors or something as I tried to run the game without any directories but those from the mods installed and the bsa files that came with them and such
WinterandStars
Well I don't know if I understand you correctly regarding the last part, but I can tell you that Immersive Armors itself can't be the problem, since it doesn't remove gag.Have you considered looking into your BOSS log? Also, do you maybe have other mods that modify armour leveled lists or Ulfric himself?
blazon
How is it not immersive armors? As soon as you remove the immersive armor mod Ulfric's gag is back.
WinterandStars
Nah, what I meant is that Immersive Armors - as is - doesn't remove the gag. (sorry for the typo earlier btw).It does change what Ulfric is wearing, since it gives him the full Stormlord armour, but it doesn't remove the gag. Together with other armour mods or those that change leveled lists, yes, I guess it might be the case that it removes it, which will in that case be indeed fixed by removing Immersive Armors. But if you just use the latter, it shouldn't make any problems. Sorry if I failed to make this understandable.
verrik
i Can confirm that this mod does cause Ulfric in the start to not have his gag on as I started a game with this mod only and Ulfric does not have his gag on in the wagon and once this mod is taken out he gets his gag again and this is a totally vanilla game with this the only mod in it! verrik
So in my conclusion is this is the only mod being used to test my theory and seems this mod is the only thing that can cause this!
ripple
It's not the "only thing" that can cause the missing gag, but it's possible that IA 1.7 is implicated. The 'gag' is a clothing item that needs to be added to the outfit record of an NPC in order for it to be 'worn.' Naturally, if something edits the NPC's outfit record (for example, the IA script that dynamically assigns the Stormlord armour to Ulfric), it may cause the gag to not appear. Although I can't recall whether Ulfric had the gag on or not when I last started a new game with IA 1.7 installed, so I can't confirm if it is indeed IA. But it's a really, really, minor issue. Just report it to Eckss and continue playing.
verrik
well it has to be because when I use just this one mod and nothing else the gag is not on him and as I said no other mods are present but this one just to see and the gag is no on his face! Zurath
I can confirm. Immersive armors mod is the one that gives that problem.
Roket
I hope nobody minds me raising this from the dead. I found this thread via a google search for the name of the mod that was causing this problem. The offending file in Immersive Armor is iastartupquestscript.pex found in Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.bsa The offending line in the source file iastartupquestscript.psc is line 112, specifically "UlfricRef.RemoveItem (ArmorGag, 1)". You can comment out this line, recompile the script, and leave the recompiled script in Data/Scripts. Ulfric will then have his gag back in the openning scenes and it will be removed as normal once in the keep after the dragon attack. I'm guessing the mod author simply misunderstood the reason for the gag being there (so Ulfric can't use the shout he learned), as it's clearly done delibrately, but doesn't match main quest lore in any way.
