Lord Garon
I'd like to add my 2 septims worth of advice. Don't tweak vanilla ini files until you get all your mods working, unless a mod tells you to tweak a setting. Many tweaks out there simply duplicate default game settings anyways (most threading tweaks), a lot have insane values that might actually work at much smaller settings, and some are simply bad and will cause issues from ILS to CTD. Once you get all your mods in, look for simple tweaks that address single issues. I'm playing a STEP VEGA pack game atm. You could try out their survival packs. My character makes the King of Sweden look like a scrub.
Odamanmishca
@ Ayporos Nice. n yeh, all work and no play makes a good game? haha Aw man, if this game were multiplayer, I could be your Bambam... Why isn't this game multiplayer? Seriously. I did assume that TESO was going to be like ESO, with a couple tens of players per server, but it went massive. MMOOOOO went the cow. Milk drinkers. Be a nice game as individual servers, where you could invite a few friends or open with a cap on player numbers and RP as friends/enemies/etc.. That would be radically good fun. I think. Yes it would.
Odamanmishca
Lord Garon, thanks  will do. I have the SSME ini tweak and that's all atm (with SKSE 1.6.9). I hope that just the one tweak isn't a problem. Everything's stable tables atm, (and I have a safe save I can go back to if things go weirdly, PLUS! I've looked more closely at properly disabling mods if needed via console then saving, then disable via NMM, reloading, and saving again). Seems kinda simple to do now. Think a bit has soaked in. I believe I assumed that disabling a mod wouldn't affect an old save. But it would seem that it might, in some cases. MCM registered some mods after I had disabled them, so I think I've got the right proceedure to disable mods. RIght now I'm reading up more thoroughly about installing ClimatesOfTamriel, Frostfall and RND (and the related stuff, like fishing, bottles, fountains, etc..) I note I may have missed a couple patches, so... hmmm, yes. I might head over to STEP VEGA right now. Thanks again for the advice. I don't want to dissuade you from any Skyrim experience, but, ummm, you might not want to begin Skyrim with the VEGA pack. I was hoping you'd see the Survival packs on the link I gave, since you were interested in survival mods. VEGA certainly involves survival, but probably not in the way you think it does. To be specific, I was referring to this pack and this one. Edited May 19, 2014 by Lord Garon
Odamanmishca
Hey there! I have an enjoyable build going now, RND, Hunterborn, Frostfall, UFO, to name a few. Virtually no crashes, and cleaned up a few files too with Tes5Edit. Discovered a few limitations with my machine, and had to drop things like CoTamriel, (it seems to have strained my machine) and I dropped a few other texture thiings too. Might try to re-add some things, for looks, but as for gameplay, it's a whole new (and stable) thing. Really liking the Frostfall mods, though it sometimes updates more slowly than the mod likes, and I've tweaked some MCM features for mods to lower settings, like decal (blood) and footprints (ini) to give the game less to figure/remember. But the Nord of Mead and Talos can freely engage a whole bunch of Roman-looking Imperials without the game CingTD. Thanks again for responding to my original post guys, happy adventuring/bug squashing. :)
