A Prison?

So i was exploring throughout Wasteland, when i land at the German Police HQ (i think it was German atleast)

And i saved Red and thought...WoW...There is no big prison thing in all of Fallout 3 story...

 

So i went to fallout3nexus (as always) and i noticed there is no mod either for a Prison.

 

So anyone bored and want to retexture some big mansion into a prison :)? *I think the huge building in HAVEN in The Pitt could be great for a prison*

The RR Companion Vault (aka Vault 1) has a jail in it. You get a pistol, rifle and police baton that all have a custom mezzer effect and you can send people to stay in the jail until you decide to kill them, set them free, feed them to your mirelurk pets, or invite them to live in your vault.

I had an early version of the mod and the "go to jail" stuff did indeed work, although there was an issue with prisoners having their own head with the body of a white man (no issues with women that I noticed). I read somewhere that there were other worse problems with the jail and that portion of the mod was going to be discontinued because of it, but I do not know the result of that.

 

Anyway, what I was getting at is that maybe looking at what they did in that mod can give you an idea of what you want to do in your prison: see how they did the scripts and stuff.

Superb idea! I didn't even realise that it was missing until you mentioned it. I recommend including raiders or slavers in some way... a slave market? Anyway, whatever you decide good luck.

you sure? gonna have to check the dates on his post and the one regarding that WIP prison mod for Big town I think it was.

 

I made a small prison/vault for personal use with the cell doors based on the secret door that you escape from in Vault 101, has an interesting, almost "Star Wars" feel to it when used as a cell door.

 

it also prevents npc prisoners from re spawning and shooting at you, which could become an issue if you use regular Barred jail cell doors

 

I also have a death row, but no Execution rooms yet, though I intend on using a similar execution mechanism as the experiment rooms in Vault 87.

Ive been working on a prison for a while now but its no master piece. I used the idea of it being a place that slavers keep slaves before selling them off or putting them to battle against a deathclaw or a ghoul or something. I made a camera system for it that sets off an alarm if you're in its "field of vision" although its just a trigger box infront of the camera that gets disabled if you turn off the camera, blow it up or disable the entire system. The prison towers I made for it are just trusswork ontop of a concrete wall with some catwalks through it. The quest im planning to make for it gets you "imprisoned" and you have to escape somehow but I was thinking that I could make it so you join the slavers and go around imprisoning people or sentencing the "prisoners" to death like what was said earlier. I think the walls look good but its the main part of the prison that kinda doesnt look like one so Ive attatched a floor plan of a prison and was wondering if you think it looks good to use as a guide for building mine. Im probally never going to upload the file, its just a muck around thing that im making that I wanted some other modders opinions on.
