How to erase grass

How would i erase grass so its not sticking out of my house?

Do you want to remove it just from your house, or you don't want it at all? You can type TG in the console (the console is activated with the button on the left of the number 1).

Otherwise you will have to remove it manualy in the CS. (not sure how to do it, acctualy :P)

in landscape editing are textures without grass if I remember well.

I hate grass! I have worked long and hard at it and have finally become proficient at getting rid of those nasty weeds.

 

You will need to find the "NoGrass" texture in the landscape editor that looks exactly like your grassy grass. For Example, you might be having problems with TerrainHDGrassClover01SU. In that case you would need to replace the grass under your porch and sidewalk with TerrainHDGrassClover01SUNoGrass.

 

This part is very important: Set "Max Opacity" to 100. If you fail to do this, you won't get rid of every last blade of grass.

 

Use a fairly large brush, and clear a firebreak between your porch and the jungle. Grass generates randomly, and is not always in the same spot. If your firebreak is not big enough, sometimes you will have the grass where it belongs and sometimes you won't.

 

Be sure you are editing one of the nine cells in the middle of the 25 cell block which is displayed. The editor will not edit cells on the edge of of the 25 cell block. (Nine editable, 16 not editable. Go figure.)
