Big Z Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 I'm curious to know if there is a limit. I installed several mods (both overrides and dazips) and now some have quite working. Have I clustered my self up too much with a lot of AddIns? I thought about removing everything and reinstalling one by one. If no one knows then that's what I need to do. blackninja420 Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I have definitelly seen a limit on DaZips, a rather low limit I might add. I tested it multiple times by getting to a point where my game would lag so hard I'd have to just cancel it in program manager, would uninstall one and it would work, would install a different one, and so on and so forth. It could not have been a compatibility conflict, because I added and uninstalled different mods numerous times. I posted a request for a program to combine DaZips, like you combine Plug-Ins for Fallout 3 to get past the 254 hard limit, but no one said anything about it... TGBlank Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 Remember that when making dazips, by default and unless the modder is aware, doesn't need it and removes it, you get another instance of module core running. Everytime something semi-interesting happens, all module cores get called to handle it; many of these at the same time is bond to bring out the ugly. The errors people are likely getting from having too many mods (eg: stuttering in dialogues and combat), seem to be the result of some kinds of conflicts between either 2 dazips or a dazip and what is present in their override folder. Or atleast that's what I've personally noticed. If there is a limit somewhere, it is likely related to how the mods themselves are setup. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
