Please help! OBSE: An unknown version of Oblivion

I got this error message after run obse_loader. How can I solve it? I'm using OBSEv21 :sad:

- I installed Oblivion disk version

- Installed SI and already patched to 1.2.0416

First thing to check - if you used a No-DVD crack that can, and often does, cause problems with OBSE.

Are you using LOOT?

Is this the Steam Version?

 

LOOT it not working with Oblivion for me and it keeps placeing Obclivion.esm 3rd in the load order.

BOSS seems to work here.

 

I am dealing with this (different crc).

First I verifyied game files in steam, and it redownloaded 11.

After that obse tells me to launch via steam and not obse_loader.exe.

tes4edit shows no issues

The game will not run via steam, and obse_loader insists I use steam to run the game.

 

UPDATE

It looks Like this game was a waste of money as it will not run at all.

It seems to me that there is some issue with Win7 64bit that prevents the game from running.

It seems to me that there is some issue with Win7 64bit that prevents the game from running.

 

Runs fine on Win7 x64 for me, both Steam and Non-Steam versions.

 

The Steam version SHOULD be the fully patched version of code, but if you only got Oblivion and not the Shivering Isles version, it may not work with OBSE as the SI version overwrites the Oblivion exe file. You should also be using the STEAM loader dll with the Steam install, which you have to specifically copy over from the OBSE installation archive.

 

As for LOOT ... currently it's not too good on Oblivion on my setup either, but it improves with each update. it IS still a Beta as far as I know. I stick to BOSS and Wrye Bash.
