mechine
Well you know how they always say, make sure no other programs are running when using the windows installer. Maybe that's where those silly folks get using safe mode to install is a good idea. You would think if they were that smart they would just use MSconfig to make a more PC gamer like boot up, with various services stopped... And such... Craigsters
I remember when I installed my dlc disc I had to explore the disc and click the autorun ini file on the disc and then the dlc's started to install, I don't recall having to go into safe mode to install the dlc 's!.. Double click the exe file that shows. Hopefully that will work for you. You could also insert the disc and then leave it for a few minutes. It took a while for it to auto run for me. Burnagirl
This question has been around here before .... the 2nd disc of the GOTY is a bit slow to load .... this worked for me and a couple of others as well ..... put the disc in the pc and go andget a drink (LOL) the tea or coffee kind .... because this sucker of a disc takes a couple of minutes to "kick in" ..... then just run through the install like normal when it does show up ......THEN install FOMM, Archive Invalidation and lastly FOSE ..... AFTER INSTALLING FOSE, PATCH IT WITH THE UPDATE 1.7 ..... yes I know the GOTY already comes with the Update 1.7but do it anyway because FOSE WANTS TO BE PATCHED ......... and then as sure God made little green apples, it's gonna work ! Burnagirl
You're one of the lucky ones .... for a whole bunch of us it was such a frustration, we tried everything, and I mean all of the above but still nothing, until I decided to just leave the thing alone and up it came in it's own sweet time ..... one of the guys who posted when we were discussing the problem said that he had waited four minutes, some might wait longer but it WILL EVENTUALLY come up. pkleiss
For me, my PC just would not recognize there was a disk in the drive. I just kept ejecting and re-inserting until it did. It took maybe 7 attempts. But once the disk was recognized, the instalation went by normally. It must not be Scottish.
