Mesoamerican Type Shield

I'm quite the mesoamerican/pre-columbian enthusiast, especially when it comes to warfare.

 

I've found the Aztec weapon in the Orc weapon mod but I can't seem to find any other Mesoamerican influenced mods. I'm not very skilled when creating new items in the game, especially when it comes to modeling.

 

This is an example of what I'm looking for (The guy on the right)

NOTE: The modeler may have to take some implementation liberties since Oblivion characters do not hold and wield the shield in the same manner (might have to rotate the arm handle a bit)

Pre-Columbian Weapons

I slapped this together real quick after I tested my install of Blender 2.49b. I don't have access to my paint tools just yet so if somebody would like to finish this up, be my guest. The shield has not been sized or positioned to fit the arm so that will need to be done in Blender but should be easy to fix. The model has a UV Map and can utilize a single texture but somebody will have to create it (and the normal map).

 

Attached is the Blender source file along with its collision and an exported example of the model in NIF format.
