Oblivion runs just fine on Windows 7. The only thing to watch for is that mods and utilities may run afoul of the Windows 7 security set-up unless you install Oblivion in a non-default directory (e.g. C:\Games\Oblivion ). Note that it is possible to get it to work in the default directory ( C:\Program Files(x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\ ) but I think it's simpler to just take the easy route and install it elsewhere. MasterDRD
Actually it's not too difficult to get around that, as long as you're the administrator. You can download a registry entry that allows you to rightclick->Take Ownership of any file/folder, which if used on the program files directory can bypass the security entirely. (not that it wouldn't be easier the other way, but that's what I did and it works wonders. And not just for Oblivion...)

Pronam
System Requirements lab is just old. It simply doesn't recognize win7 as an OS or thinks that without the official support it wouldn't work. Don't worry about it :). Although MasterDRD's thing works to. I for example have a C:\Alternate Program Files for any game that's made before Vista. That way you'll never have to worry about permissions or UAC :).
UndiesPatrol
I have Windows 7, and it works perfectly fine ^^as one of the previous posters said, Systemrequirementslab, does not yet recognize Windows 7, just keep in mind, anything that runs on Vista, will run on Windows 7 :D
Thalassicus
Not only does it work on Windows 7, works perfectly fine with 64-bit too: Windows 7 automatically runs it in a 32-bit emulator. Much to my surprise, I've had zero comparability issues with any of my programs in an XP 32-bit to W7 64-bit transition.
