Character crashes through terrain

On any save my character is falling through the terrain and hitting bottom. The first save had a horse and pack mule that both fell to the bottom of the game as well. I used tcl and fast travel, but there was no vegetation, trees or land marks. Doors were hanging in midair with no buildings. I used other saves the same thing. I used a back up of the esm the same thing. I used alternate character saves same thing. I looked the ini over, couldn't find anything wrong of note. If the character was indoor or in a cave there was no fall through. If the character was in the water, there was no fall through until reaching land. In all cases there were no trees or vegetation.

 

Just prior to this I was using wry bash to install cobl, which didn't work, so I deleted the bashed patch, Wry Bash, and its files. The game was working fine before. I noticed someone was looking for help with a similar problem two years ago, and there is no response. I know I've seen inquiries about this problem before but they are not coming up on search, except for the old one mentioned.

Save games contain info from whatever mods you may have been using at the time the save was made. When you remove a mod and then use a save game that had that mod installed, you usually see a pop up warning saying that "this save contains data from a missing file" or some such thing. Depending on what info is missing all sorts of strange things can happen now when you use this save game. The problem, I'm going to guess, is that the saves you are attempting to use contain info from that bash patch you deleted. Bash patches merge all sorts of critical data from plugins and master files alike. So deleting that and then using a save which had it active could potentially do what you are describing.
