  1. A certain level of realism in a game is certainly gratifying, but some people don't have a well developed sense of reality. For instance, if I go outside at night, right now in December, it's nearly as bright as morning daylight. Low cloud cover combined with a full moon reflecting off of snow through the clouds makes a wonderful ambiance. It's fully diffused and illuminated. Without the cloud cover, this wouldn't have happened. The effect actually is past, but if you consider that the sky is lit with at least a portion of the moon over half of the nights, total darkness is seldom the case. So, the totally dark screen is actually harassment. Thank you for your time and opinion.
  2. In response to post #67120086. #67127056, #67130781, #67131481, #67131561 are all replies on the same post. Yes. This is the problem.
  3. The game changed to extremely dark at night, after it was played for hours. It is now so dark at night nothing can be seen. I don't have any mods, just the DLC. There was one update that I remember that was for creation club. I don't have any mods from there either. It is too dark at night to play the game. My character uses stealth to get around and has never had this problem before. There seems to be a strong desire on the part of some people as evidenced by mods and the forum conversations about 'realism' in the form of ink black nights. I would like to suggest to people that what they are desiring is colloquially described as 'Night Blindness'. It means you either have a vitamin A deficiency brought about by mild malnutrition (not eating your carrots?) or were born with poor vision. Not everyone has this. Just eat your carrots. The greatest visual alteration you should have at night with low light is a reduction of visual color besides the level of moonlight. I bring this up because I can't find any threads about this problem of too dark to play. Is it just my game? Also, I have noticed that the environment does not seem to be that dark for the NPC's. I don't remember how I noticed this, but it may have been a screen shot I was looking at. What can I do, is there an ini setting that can cure the black paint effect? Has Fallout 4 become the game for the visually impaired? Also, I would like to be able to check the settings for the in game day and night cycle, if that is possible. Thank you, someone.
  4. On any save my character is falling through the terrain and hitting bottom. The first save had a horse and pack mule that both fell to the bottom of the game as well. I used tcl and fast travel, but there was no vegetation, trees or land marks. Doors were hanging in midair with no buildings. I used other saves the same thing. I used a back up of the esm the same thing. I used alternate character saves same thing. I looked the ini over, couldn't find anything wrong of note. If the character was indoor or in a cave there was no fall through. If the character was in the water, there was no fall through until reaching land. In all cases there were no trees or vegetation. Just prior to this I was using wry bash to install cobl, which didn't work, so I deleted the bashed patch, Wry Bash, and its files. The game was working fine before. I noticed someone was looking for help with a similar problem two years ago, and there is no response. I know I've seen inquiries about this problem before but they are not coming up on search, except for the old one mentioned. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
  5. I have to speak to a moderator about an associated issue besides this one. There are a lot of male friendly exaggerated body engineering mods, maybe not too many, but I can see how someone might get the idea that if they set a hook out they'll get a few strikes. I wondered if there might be a 'category' for them like 'pole dancer' or 'smoking room', perhaps that's the wrong direction to go in, but it is really sickening when I adjust search fields and I still get exaggerated anatomy. Still, I'm glad there are all those mods to choose from, some with mixed results. This inappropriate content that was downloaded onto the forum is entrapment. Most players are playing a game for relatively good wholesome entertainment. At least I am. This is probably one of the best games ever made, even with a bunch of potato faces. Hopefully gamers weren't lured into the spiders web, 'cause they know what will drop your IQ to nothing. As the poster said, just clicking on that picture will probably compromise your computer. This can have a chilling effect on the mods. Second to Oblivion, Nexus is the best accessory now for many games. If the search fields work for locating appropriate mods it would be a great asset in keeping it that way.
