Mod not working - cause?

Hi,

 

I'm trying to get the "Clear Worldmap" mod working made by raysunderland:

I followed the instructions in the readme, but it looks nothing like the map in the screenshot - it actually looks considerably worse than the default one. Most of the map location markers are so faded you can hardly see what it is and the font is extremely dark.

 

I'm On PC with all DLCs installed as well as the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch v1.2.0.

 

If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
