You probably won't be around to see it, the enviroment may collapse and all terrestrial life may die but the actual world won't of ended. For that we need to wait for a collision (meteor, planet or black hole, take your pick) or a supernova. Either that or someone builds a doomsday machine to hurry stuff along.

Global warming can not destroy the planet, just collapse the enviroment. Also life existed well before the Ice Caps in a much higher heat, back when the Sahara desert was a sea. Global warming =/= the end of life
