Why is it allways Bikini mail

Just wondering why it is whenever there is a Full on armor replacement mod, it's almost always bikini mail? Not that i mind bikini mail, it just keeps hitting me from a logical perspective that's all. :wallbash:

To answe what I think your question is, chainmail bikini's are, indeed, useless except as rather uncomfortable lingerie, but they're hot.

Because most sweaty nerds don't realize how attractive less skin can be.

 

This is my favorite clothing mod, It is very sexy, but it doesn't make your Companion look like a tramp, and if I have a daughter in the future I wouldn't kill her if I saw her wearing this stuff.

And I think the female version of the stealth armor in this Mod when the character is idle and isnt wearing the mask and hood is very attractive... and there isn't any skin below the neck.

Because the chainmail bikini has become standard fare in nearly every depiction of a female in fantasy garb. I believe that this trend was originally started with some guys artistic works back in the 70's and 80's, and has been a constant feature in nearly every RPG and MMO since. If memory serves, both UO and EQ 1 had female characters wearing armor that left little to the imagination, and that was back in the 1990's.

Well, the Books about Conan the barbarian were written before the 70's and if i'm not wronk there are lots of hot babes in skimpy armors in those stories.

If we get even more tehnical, and look on the sheer mod creation we can see that making a bikini armor is mush simpler that a full plate complex armor. Heck, my first armors where all skimpy, but i never realesed them tough i was tempted by the big number of downloads they would probably get. :)

Chainmail bikinis do serve some purpose in combat, mainly, for misdirection. As kieranfoy puts it, 'cause their hot.

So true and so sad though.... :( But yeah "sex sells" as they say, these types of games aren't aimed towards women...women play these games, but the ratio must be very minimal that they don't care. Atleast in Oblivion, the female versions of the armours were not like that off the bat, I would have been quite angry heh.
