Nobadovah
Hi all,First thing first let me appologise, english isn't my native. Then back to the topic.I thought of it while playing. Every single daedra prince you come accross says "it's been some time i keep an eye on you" or something like that. Most offers you to become their champion (actually they give that title to you without even asking) what if one of them maybe a little less powerfull wanted to bound with you in a unique way such as getting married?I tested some home mods where you could teleport back to and back from your house. And it's a bit weird that none so far offers you to teleport in a house in oblivion when most of them, if not all, use the conjuration bubble visual effect. So lets pretend a daedra took some kind of real liking to you. Lets pretend it's not the most powerfull of all. Maybe it's not even a prince, yet it has a small "kingdom" in oblivion, and agressives neighbors. You'd be summoned (with or without warning/being asked) the same way the player can summon atronachs/dremoras/gargoyles and given some tasks by the said daedra (wich could be a dremora lord or something but they're kinda short on females character and i mostly play male non gay characters). As some have been said earlier you won't be asked to kill a daedra prince or something. I don't think Molag Bal, Boetia or any other would need your help to kill some lowly opponment in their own realm. You're barely a toy to them, so what would be asked from you might not be to fight. After you did what you've been asked in that realm the daedra would offer you to marry him/her. If you do his/her "house" would become yours and you'd be given a teleport spell to and from that house (you'd be given conjurations spells as well, during the quests eventually) and he/she would offer you a ring that'd be automatically equiped as you leave oblivion. The ring gives you no perk at all and seems to be a armless unenchanted ring at first, only the name would be different from a simple gold ring (could be all black and red and shining if you feel like it too, that i don't mind). Whenever you marry her/him or not you'd then be sent back to Skyrim. The "problem" with the ring, would be if you try to unequip it, then you'd be back to "your" oblivion kingdom, facing a jealous wife/husband asking you why you did that. So basically taking off your engagement ring is a costless way to go back to your new home, and puting it back a costless way to go back where you were. In addition, time in oblivion may not be as fast as in skyrim (maybe it does not pass at all)From time to time if you keep the ring on (and you don't have much choice) you'd be summoned without warning by your daedra wife/husband (and apparently at random) because he/she wanted to chat and other times you'd be summoned the same way without more warnings because your wife/husband's kingdom is "attacked" again and he/she feels like your help is needed (you'd then fight against the same kind of foes that you defeated during the quests, it would be great if their level could be kindda the same as yours each time). Do not feel like a daedra hero or something, think of it as your wife being affraid/disgusted by caterpillars or spiders, even if to you they're worthy opponments. When you're supposed to die that may trigger a spell instead and send you back to oblivion because for some reason your husband/wife like you better as a living being. The dawnguard's soulcairn is supposed to be part of oblivion so the textures and stuff from that could be used, there are mods about oblivion too (mostly upgraded version of what was in ES 4: Oblivion).I only thought that an annoying and jealous daedra wife/husband could be really fun. Maybe he/she'd be a shapeshifter? With a gorgeous appearance when you meet and a bestial form that can be summoned (who said a vampire lord?)Thanks from reading that and keep me in touch if you hear about a mod that's kindda like what i described. tx12001
Marrying a Daedra? OK the only one I could see that happen with is Sanguine and even that would be a long shot but even a dremora would be a longshot as they don't really appear to have emotions? maybe a Golden Saint or Dark Seducer on the otherhand might work. Nobadovah
Sanguine is a daedra prince, what i had in mind was a much lesser kind, plus even if i know daedra are shapeshifter (let alone him) he appears as a male character in skyrim already if you do his quest. *ponder that for a while* on the other hand that would make him laught to change in front of you if you want a female mate, he'd probably see that as a good joke.I didn't asked for a caring wife, a bored one (bored before she met you) would do... well the one hating the most being bored would be sanguine again... But he has no kingdom, hence no underlings. Dremoras (even those you summon using the staff he eventually gives you) are Dagon's pets not his own. On the other hand he's told to have lots of "pocket universe" instead of one kingdom. Maybe one of his kingdom he's infested or something and he'd find it more fun to send you there than doing ot on it's own (he's supposed to love battling though, that's where the name's coming from)Dremoras are ok i guess, Some from previous games as well such as Daedra spiders, Daedra count, Daedra Lord, Wingged Shadows, Vil seducer, Xilivai, ...A golden saint would be a weird choice, because they're on the sane side of shivering isles only, and being bounded to a mortal would quite an odditie. I guess a seducer would be a good choice, a mazken from shivering isles or any seducer at the order of any prince actually, or Sanguine himself (can't help but think he's a dude though)
Nobadovah
"Mortal are short-lived, ignorant and weak in comparison to Daedra. But you mortals are also powerful engines of change and innovation, of improvised and desperate industry. So we attach a certain importance to fruits of your common place and mysterious engineering. Then we negotiate, plunder or steal these treasures. We lived too long and we become accommodating while our spirit becomes mat. Your life is too short and you are magnificently creative. Do you understand? "so said Imago Storm, a dremora. So why not?So Sanguine, a dremora or a dark seducer could do (as well as a daedra spider, a winged shadow, a daedra count, a xivilai, ...)I guess Sanguine or a dark seducer would be the best shots. Sanguine because you already befriended him and that he hates being bored, the whole thing would be more a prank to him, but he already tricked you into marying a hage so it would only be a longer lasting prank. (could be a human life long lasting prank, it might be nothing for him, yet he might get bored)A seducer from the shimering isles, would most likely look like a female, and maybe her love story with a mortal would entertain sheogorath and earn seducers some points in their everlasting fight against the golden saints.A golden saint would be the weirdest choice ever, even thought they are smart enought to create bounds they wouldn't do anything crazy even if they would like to impress uncle sheo Well there is the possibility of Shogorath going into an identity crisis too... he may even dislike cheese from now on... split personality and so on and so on...
