Alithinos
Hi!I accidently discovered that you can go back to vault 101 while I was watching a video at Youtube. I tried, but it doesn't work for me.I have already finished the main quest, and I'm playing free-roaming because of that expansion..I go near the vault, and I get the radio signal, but I don't hear Amata or anything. It's dead.No sound. When I go to the console and try to activate it,a message "You don't know the new password" appear. What should I do ?
evilneko
Two possibilities: You have already been back, in "Trouble on the Homefront," and completed that quest and just forgotten about doing it. Or, if you truly haven't done it, you may be affected by one of the bugs listed here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Trouble_on_the_Homefront After completing the quest you will not be able to return, unless you choose the ending that leaves the vault door open. I haven't done it.Probably it's the bug. So,if the text is correct,it means that if I play the pitt, then I will be able to play the other quest "Trouble on the Homefront" ? evilneko
Apparently so, though I have not tested that. It does say "confirmed all platforms" though. There is also a console command to start it.
Alithinos
OK,it actually worked!! :)BTW,i cleared the quest by helping them being able to go outside, but they kicked me out!!This made me to want to play again that quest with another character, just to doom them to stay there forever!!lol
TheVampireDante
Highlight to read quest end spoiler: They kick you out no matter how you finish that quest. Whether Vault stays closed, is opened or destroyed. Considered a bit of a let down by many people.
evilneko
You don't have to spoiler tag on the spoiler forum. ;) My second character (Blaze, below) hasn't gotten that far in the main quest yet. Based on her experiences thus far, she may opt to open the vault. Then again, the arrival of the Enclave may prompt her to reconsider, just as I did the first time through. I equated opening the vault with letting the Enclave in, and decided that to be a BadThing. I think there oughta be another option or two. Something like let them open the vault, but warn them about the Enclave and at least advise, if not outright help them, to prepare. Or maybe an option to return and let them know it's safe (well, safeR) to come out, after you've given the Enclave a thorough beatdown.
TheVampireDante
Never noticed what forum this was in actually, I clicked this topic direct from the main forum index. If I had I wouldn't have bothered.
