DrakeTheDragon
You said you assigned a copy of a Vanilla "_gnd" NIF as the ground model for your item, but it still gives you the missing mesh indicator? I'm slowly beginning to suspect most of your problems could indeed be caused by folder access permission trouble on Vista or Win 7/8 when having the game installed at the default location, somewhere inside "program files".NifSkope is a 3rd party tool. Saving a NIF from it into such an over-protected system folder like "program files" it will likely be put into a VirtualStore folder inside your User folders instead, as the User Account Control demands. In some cases even "you" will put files there when trying to put them into the "program files" folder, as the Windows Explorer already keeps lying to you they'd be exactly where you put them, in "program files", while they most definitely are not. I'm not convinced it won't just override your action of pasting a file into "program files" to paste it into this VirtualStore folder instead as well. After all, it is that shady, openly lying to the admin user and all. I'm not sure how you could check whether your files are inside "program files" or not, as the Windows Explorer and every 3rd party tool is pretty much useless in this regard, fooled by the UAC and everything. Though maybe you could take a look into the VirtualStore folder instead, and if it's inside there, it won't be inside the real "program files", and as such the game will never find it. That's why it's always said to 'not' install the game inside "program files", but somewhere outside, in a folder "you" created yourself, away from Windows' grasp. Medtech
I run Windows XP.Do they cause the same problems as Windows Vista,7,8 etc? The game is installed outside program files in a different disc partition. Could it be an archive invalidation problem? Did you see a problem in the new nif I made?(I managed to post two images in the previous page). Thank you for your replies so far they are very appreciated Edited June 1, 2014 by Medtech
