Can I commission a great modder for $$$?

Hi guys! I have noticed, on this board, thousands of mod requests and very few acceptances. Of course, a lot of the requests are either outlandish or would involve hundreds, if not thousands, of hours... so i can see why there isn't a lot of response.

But what if a request made it worth the modder's time financially?

There's the rub. I have an idea I would LOVE to see brought to fruition, and I am not averse to financial recompense for the modder. After all, this is something wanted by ME, not the modder.

My question is this-- would I be committing, at the very least, a severe breach of etiquette and at worst, banishment from Nexus by posting a request like this? And if so, how does one get in touch with a modder otherwise to discuss an arrangement like this?

I'm not trying to start a shitstorm or anger anyone, but I love Skyrim and want some thing that I haven't seen on Steam, Nexus, or anywhere else.

Please respond if you have any info or ideas!

Dean

I've seen about 3 different people offering money for mods (you being the third) in the past week. It honestly does irritate me that some mod creators make mods just for money.

And like I told the other guy, you'd get a better response if you put what mod you want in this thread as well as tell them the amount of money you're offering.

And another thing I told the other guy, You don't want to know anybody who'd only make mods for Money.

I'm not clear if it is against the rules or not.

Bye.

In answer to your question in the initial post....

According to the TOS that you agreed to when joining the site

  • Do not solicit services from other Nexus members in exchange for monetary compensation or promise of such compensation in connection with content that falls within the scope of a game publishers EULA. For example, this means that you may not recruit modders with the promise of monetary compensation to create a custom .ESP file for you or alter game content that is subject to Bethesdas EULA governing the use of their assets and the Creation Kit.

Offering or accepting money to make mods is not only against our TOS but is also against Beths EULA,there is no "but I am paying for time" clause, its simple it is not allowed so this topic is being locked
