Hey there. Right now, I'm trying to convert Castle Dour's Emperor's Tower into an awesome player home. However, I'm afraid I might screw something up. How do I set player ownership on items? Do I add the item to the Player faction, set it to owned by the player, or do I just replace the items all together? This mostly applies to mannequins (ones I add), storage, and beds, as well as the doors. I already completed the DB quests, so I intend to remove the markers. Would that screw anything up?

Are you wanting to set this as a player home in-game or through the CK? Because if you do it in-game it's rather easy. Just open the console, select the desired item, and type "setownership." That item is now technically yours. Also works for stolen items.

You can set ownership by scripting. Just look at the way the original homes are given to the player. It's all done through scripts attached to a quest. I personally have Golden Glow set to become a player home once you acquire the deed. I basically just copied the Breezehome script.

However, I would strongly recommend NOT deleting those markers.

Alright, I probably won't. I mean, nothing is considered "stolen" anymore after the DB questline is completed (as you know, you kill the owner) but I want to try and avoid any issues. Do I set the chests to "Player Owned" or "PlayerOwnedFaction" under the Ownership tag? Or do I just leave it? Because the storage is a big deal. Mannequins aren't as big of an issue, but still. I wanna make sure nothing I intend to keep is lost.
