Commando1701
Hi. A while ago I tried to install the Aliyah companion mod. It didn't seem to work and my game crashed like crazy; also, people's faces turned purple. Is there an area that gives detailed instructions on how to install it via obmm? thanks. Also, do I need any other mods to make the companion mod work...vanilla oblivion here except for OOO.

Commando1701
I'll try it again. I think i figured out the error. i have a feeling cobl's race additions might've been the cause for weirded characters. ill get back to you on it. If the problem is COBL Race, and you're running Wrye Bash, you can place the Aliyah mod after your Bashed Patch, and remove the issue. That way, your companion mod won't be merged with COBL Race. Commando1701
I dont use wrye bash...only obmm. is tthat okay if i adjust load order?
Jenrai
Yeah, that would work. However, if Aliyah requires CM, or any other mods (It'll tell you in the readme-I don't know as I don't have that companion... any good? ;) ) and they're not there, you will encounter problems. You said you had vanilla except for OOO, but COBL races? Hmm.I've seen the black face bug once, but it was before I used COBL/FCOM, using Beautiful People - it was the redguards that had it, and installing the BP compliant "Better Redguards" fixxed it, but I've not seen the issue again since I installed COBL & COBL races. Also, COBL Races needs the COBL beauty pack... I think its called something like COBL Cosmetic Resources. Jenrai
Balakirev
Also, COBL Races needs the COBL beauty pack... I think its called something like COBL Cosmetic Resources. Yeah, it is. Might be good if you post your entire load list here, in order.
Commando1701
Alright. Thank you. I will put the entire load list (because I changed it last night after posting it.) As soon as I go home from uni I will update the list here. Once again I thank you all; you are all extremely helpful.
Commando1701
Here is the mod order list minus the companion mods. I did this because even after removing the companion mods and the beauty pack the faces were black and some textures purplish. Please tell me if I need to change load order and where, thank you. Jenrai
I don't see anything there thats jumping out at me as being very wrong... can you give slightly more specific info? Is it happening with all NPCs from one race, in certain areas, stuff like that? And do you definately have the COBL Cosmetic Resources package I mentioned? (check COBL home page for link. I can't access it from work I'm afraid) You will find a lot of missing textures/meshes if you don't because you're running the TNR (Tamriel NPCs Revamped) version of COBL, which means its trying to apply those meshes and textures from the Cosmetic Resources pack.
