Horkerkiin
I am creating my first mod, I am attempting to create an armor mod from scratch and I have been following this guide - http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1#Go_to_Part_2_of_the_tutorial I am looking to creat this armor - http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/339/3/0/rwby___pyrrha_nikos_turnaround_by_jkphantom9-d6wv78m.png I have followed everything in the up to deleting the skeletons from the imported body parts The guide itself does not go over how to create the new armor model/mesh in Blender, it points to a Wiki book on how to use blender however that wikibook is for a newer version of blender so its not helping me. As per the guide installation section, i am using blender 2.49 I can not for the life of me figure out how to do this and have spent the last 2 hours trying to find out how to do this, can somone help or point me in the direction of some help? I know a brand new armor from scratch for a first mod is a real big thing, But im not gonna lie I really want this armor and I like the challange. I have the body imported into belnder minus the skeletons but everytime i go to add a circle or anything like that so I can start to craft parts of the armor it dosnt show up, but If i open a new file i can make it appear? Am i supposd to be creating the armor speratley and then import it to the body? Or have I gone about this all wrong? the guide goes over evrything bar creating the armor itself, Can anyone help me? vinniewryan
Import the body, then create a new object and do all of your edits to this new object. If you want to use body geometry, then go into the body object and copy the vertices you need and paste them into your new object. Once you've created your armor, delete the body object. I'm pretty sure you'll want to import the skeleton from the start so you can add vertice weights and such. Without vert groups, your vertices will explode all over the screen :/

Once I can finally get the new object in, Do I sculpt the armor around the body? I have a feeling I am going about this all wrong AHHH why do I have to be such a noob
