Need Help With Import and Exporting NIFs

When opening the CS, set your mod as active, but also double click on the other mod to open it at the same time.

Find the mesh you are looking for. Most modders start their custom items with "aaa" or some such, making them relatively easy to find, but for other, you really have to hunt for them. Sometimes "Find Text" can help.

There are many different ways you can do the following steps; this is the easiest for me:

Go to a cell in your mod that you have already edited by double clicking on the cell list.

Once you have found the mesh you want, drag it into the cell.

Once the foreign mesh is in your cell, double click on it to open the edit window.

Click on "Edit Master".

Change the name of the item to something unique (it is easier if you follow a standard way for naming the items in your mod, but technically you can call them whatever you want as long as they are unique).

When you close the window, the editor will ask you if you would like to create a new form. SAY YES!!!!!

You have now imported an item, complete with all its settings, into your mod!

Winrar doesn't cost money, it just has annoying messages. There is 7zip here on nexus if you're looking for the same without a message. It's fine what you're doing, but you can't upload any mods here that contain files from other games even if modified or whatever. If the purpose is to upload you'd have to let ehm be made of scratch. If this isn't relevant. Good luck.

.BSA aren't archives as you're used to. You need a program like BSA commander, that's the link David gave, or OBMM which has a similar utility. To extract them, you've got to use those.

I'm not sure I followed that Pronam; people use things from other mods All the time.

Just make sure you get permission to use whatever it is you're importing. If you don't get permission, Then you can't use their stuff.

If your mod is for personal use, then none of this matters anyway.

Bloodmoon is an expansion of the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Using stuff from morrowind, even though not supplying the used meshes/textures is not being appreciated by Bethesda. Indeed, that's right. For personal use there is no problem at all :). But anything online would be impossible to upload, Morroblivion posed the same problem. I don't know what the purpose is, I just try to warn before being sorry. The nexus has a strict policy on this subject :)...

If you're planning on creating something like Bloodmoon, take a look at the topic-search. I can recall someone recreating bloodmoon from scratch.

Sorry, I never played Morrowind, so I did not recognize that Bloodmoon was a Morrowind Expansion.

Is it even possible to import Morrowind stuff into Oblivion? I thought that the two were not compatible.
