I have seen Avatar, and i did not get the idea that any thing was missing, or unrealistisc, I mean unrealistic in a unrealistic world.

I take no notice of peoples sexual, political or religious orientation, or racial origin, since it is none of my buissnes.

However, you can only put in i film, what needs to be in the film, acording to the storyline and the storys enviroment.

So let me get this straight, they claim Avatar is racist because there are no homosexual relations in it? I didn't read much of that site since it all seems kinda retarded, and I haven't seen the movie yet ( :( )

Edit: Well I read some of it, and... oh wow. Need a facepalm emote here. In lack of one, have this one instead: :miner:

Edit 2: Here we go. No emote, but an image featuring our beloved Captain Jean-Luc Picard:

Racist? No, they don't claim it's racist.

Seems to me that blogger is a little bit out there. If you read the rest of the posts, it seems that they feel there NEED to be overt gay relations in the film.

However, from the results of the polls it seems that's not the general consensus.

But is this perhaps more fitting to "Debates"?

Actually, if you were to follow their asinine 'logic' then if every

single race in existence was not represented in the movie in some

way or another then it would be considered racist.

What this blogger seem to want is a level of Political Correctness

that essentially destroys any possibility of creative or effective

story-telling.

But a fool often speaks the loudest.

And if they had included some sort of token gay character, it would have just pissed off more people; gays who don't agree with how that character portrays their culture, and conservatives who would boycott the movie out of fear of corrupting their children with a 15 second scene featuring an out of focus "possibly gay" character (but of course genocide makes for quality family entertainment).

*sigh* Just more people hopping on the "Anti-Avatar" Bandwagon. I swear these people are insane. Everywhere you look people are getting pissed off at this movie over stupid stuff. Whatever happened to just watching the movie to enjoy it and not to pick it apart or find some deeper meaning to it? Oh well. Anytime something gets this big there are always gonna be people who find a reason to hate it.
