Creating New Vendor help

hello!

 

I need help with creating new vendor. Followed step by step tutto - Link

 

I got dialog part working (barter menu shows up ) , but my vendors

inventory is empty.

 

Here's what i have done -

 

1. Created new npc and ticked Autocalc Services under AI Data tab

 

2. Created quest dialog part and it is working

 

3. Created new chest, added stuff into it , placed it into Vendorchests cell

 

4. Placed my vendor into his shop and sellected his chest in merchant container tab.

 

What am i missing? Please help me!

Hmm. I have never used that tutorial, and I always place my merchant containers in the same cell as the vendor (either within the cell for looting posibilities, or just outside a wall to make it hidden). There isn't too much that can go wrong with the merchant container as long as its persistent, has a unique ID, is set to respawn and is linked to the vendor via the vendor's merchant container tab. I would try placing it into the same cell (although, that should not matter) and double checking the link and the contents. Could the container be set with an owner that isn't your vendor by chance?

Added 5000 caps into the chest and it works (he has 5000 caps in barter menu), but items just won't show up!

 

Am i missing something in npc properties?

 

I even tryed attaching Seagrave Holmes chest to him... It had same effect, he gets caps, but no items

Nwm, it works now! Still have to figure out what made it work :biggrin:

Maybe it was the old dirty save issue??? I don't really know. But its good you got it working.
