Purple Squares in pipboy

like the title says, game works fine for about 2 minutes then all the icons/map in pipboy turn purple, then npcs vanish apart from their hands and heads and my controller stops responding, what the hells going on?

sorry didn't realise i hadnt posted the load order, trying to do a million things at once!, these are all mods i've used before with each other (and usually around another 50 on top) and have worked fine, been modding fallout for about 4 years and i've never come across this :/

"Total active plugins: 149" Very possible system overload.

 

StreetLights - Wasteland.esp is not needed, it is part of the new Streetlights.esm.

 

You should delete the 15 unused plugins, the assets are still loaded into memory, even though they are not enabled.

 

There are some parts of Marts that are included in FWE. I don't use Marts, so I don't remember which ones. You could check the FWE website for more information.

 

The loss of graphics is usually a symptom of not having enough RAM to handle what you are adding to the game. I am currently running 134 mods with some texture mods added and I believe I am just short of having problems.

i was running 200+ mods on a 4 year old system until today, got my new rig set up with 16gb ram :P

cheers for the tip off on the inactive plugins thing, i wasn't aware of that.

The game seems to be working for the moment, did 5 minutes and went up a level with no issues, but its 2am so i'll have to test it more rigorously in the morning and report back if it re surfaces,

Vsync was switched off so i put it back on, that seems to be the only cause :/ weird because i've always played without it in the past but oh well, as long i get 60fps out doors i'm happy lol

The game only uses 2GB of RAM unless you have the Large Address Aware Enabler or a similar program to have the game recognize and use more RAM. So having 16GB of RAM does not help you.

Its enabled to use more. The problem re surfaced this morning, was working perfectly til i got killed, reloaded my save, went to fire my gun theb blam! no sound from gun, the purple squares appeared in pipboy and the controllers buttons stopped responding.
Interestingly, it doesn't happen if i switch archiveinvalidation off but of course, thats essential for using mods. I tried the AI exe but its still happening. The textures cant be missing because they appear as soon as i load the save, it only seems to be after firing a gun or a few minutes it happens

pleased to say i figured it out. 21st century weapons with addons is corrupted or something, download it again and winrar refuses to open it properly. i uninstalled the one i had and the game seems fine now. the author for 21st century original and the author for 21st century wepeans reborn seem t be unreachable so unless anyone knows why it keeps corrupting, look like il be going back to apocalypse armory
