Things that might make next TES game more exciting

Why change something when what it is makes it better? There are plenty online games and more will be made, but I sure hope that TES won't go on the path.

No more quest marker will solve most of TES IV quest difficulty and puzzles problem, in III finding the right cave is puzzle enough.

No. No and thrice no. Thats not making things more challenging. Thats just making things more irritating. Especially if the world is the size of Oblivion's. You'd be looking for years to find anything. No, there are far better, far more immersive ways of making a game more intellectually stimulating without leaving people without a damn clue where they are going.

Unless you are going to massively update the journal system to give us some more detailed tips as to at least roughly where we want to be going.

"Its somewhere in a cave" ... Oh really? that helps in a world with 50+ caves scattered all over the map.

No, not giving someone a hint where the hell they are meant to be going isn't RP immersive, or intellectually challenging. In a world the size of those of the TES games, its simply annoying.

Dunno whether you played Morrowind or not, but in MW the instruction was more like "In a cave north east of [city name],follow the riverside. The cave is in a hill facing the east. If you came to [different cavename] cave, then you went too far."

I think that's more immersive.

I want companions that "moves" along with the story, just like in Dragon Age Origins. Not some crazy annoying weak fan thing following you around like a pet. Also no more marching band followers. It would be awesome if they get more freedom when moving with you, a more natural flow when in a group. Brink is pretty cool, can't wait for it, more than Fallout New Vegas.

What to my eyes TES5 really needs.

1: A totally redone and enjoyable to play Magic mechanic.

The way magic function in oblivion is weird and doesn't feel like enjoyable, its more of something that is forced to me then something reliable.

Also this new Magic would need a more exhaustif description of the differentes magical effects, there's still some effects that i don't really grasp how they worrks/what they do...

2: A more complete animation system,in Vanilla the way some animations works are really...well...really,come on did they have seen the way the Player char jump in 3rd perso view?.

Its like they din't bother to review the things they have done in alpha stage for some of them...

3: A better Friendly Npc's IA and Pathfinding,i don't play with any companions NPC because there a pain in the ass,or else they get stuck somewhere or else the get in the way during a fight and you hit them or kill them when trying to defeat your foes...

4:More interaction with objects and NPC's.

I would like to grab an item and change it from place without it to go into my inventory, this way you could make puzzles where you have to take differents pieces of a mozaic lets say and put them in order to solve the puzzle.

I would like to grab a NPC that follow me in an Escort mission, grab him by the hand and quickly rush to a cover and put im in save place while i'm figthing.

5: Better combat mechanics, more like Deadly reflexes, also the possibility to fight mounted.

It really anoys me when i'm traveling on my horse i have to first get off then grab my sword and then only fight my attacker...,the time i'm doing all this he land 3-4 hits on me!!

A solution would be that the whole gameplay is more of an action one where you can jump obstacles and make attacks while moving.

A DMC or Darksiders way of fighting, that leads to my other wish:more awesome and crazy fights!!

6:Better quest rewards,i think we all agree on this one...

7: A greater variety of weapons and fighting styles!!

I mean come on in a fantasy game you only have Maces,Swords,Axes and there 2H version and some daggers and bows...wtf?!

Where's the spears?,where's the Vouge, the whips, the Crossbows, the Throwing weapons, wheres the Flails? and what of the Bastar*d Swords huh?

8: a Better, but really better hardcoded game engin...i mean why all this lag and stutter when chaning a cell?

Make a better way that the game uses the memory resources of the player computer.

9: Next time...don't make the characters faces sont damn ugly...,a chance that we have some great face replacer mods or else i would'n even play the game anymore, each time i see a vanilla screenshot with the NPC's faces unmodded i wanna puke...,seriously...

10: Oblivion is allready really free oriented, but make it more free, more grand, more marvelous to explore and interact with!
