Cannot set active file on the GECK Editor

When i select "set as active file" it does not set the the file i specify, and warns me that no active file was set.

also, all my GECK mods dont work. in fallout 3 data it shows the file with a lock sign by it, while all my working mods do not.

I've seen no information on this anywhere, and im stuck.

Thanks

Sounds as you might have Fallout3 installed to "Program files" in either Vista or Windows 7 (Windows doesn't want anything there changed)

I'd suggest uninstalling & reinstall to another folder outside of "Program files" ("Games\Fallout3" for example)
