IvanJ
When I played Oblivion I've managed to amass 20+ reliable mods that gave me awesome gameplay time. I think Fallout mod scene is mature enough for me to "expand" on my Fallout experience :) Can someone recommend a list of MATURE and RELIABLE mods that modify balance, weapons, gameplay, and graphics? So far it seems out of the big ones FOOK is pretty buggy, but what about FOIP connectingFWE (includes CFW, right?)EVEMMMWMKUFP ... would that give me pretty good experience? Along with some nice texture parks (would size rez would you recommend for Radeon 4980?) Is Darnified UI mature enough? Anything else I'm forgetting? I don't wanna go overkill with cool-sounding mods and end up having a beta-test experience. I want a rich gameplay experience that will take away many hours of my life without me having to debug anything. Thanks in advance, for any advice! EssGeeDee
Yeah, yeah, that's a pretty solid list you're looking at right there. Yes, Darnified UI is very good, very polished and works well with other mods.Page If you want some battle immersion, there's a mod called Shell Rain which bumps the maximum number of shell casings up to 1500 I think, and extends the lifetime too. It drops the framerate pretty heavily when you're up in the 800+ range, but otherwise it'ss definitely worth it. Page There's also the Super Mutant Voice mod, it lowers their voices so they sound less comical and more threatening. But there's a limit, they still have all Vanilla dialogue, including "Me think too hard. Head, hurts!"Page And finally I should recommend a mod called Wasteland Travelers, I don't know if it's your cup of flaming napalm, but it adds travelers to major roads in the Wasteland, I mean somebody's gotta do something after 200 years of sitting around right?Page If you don't like any of the mods, feel free to bash me around the head with a sevvered limb or something. Skotte
Yes, MMM, UFP, WMK & Darn's UI are all very good to have Personally I haven't felt the need for a texture pack like I have for oblivion & Morrowind before it.
SATMA
At the risk of tooting my own horn, Wasteland Melee Mod Pack is release-stable with V1. Use it to diversify the melee weapons of friends and foes! Only one known conflict so far, and there is a compatibility patch for it!
IvanJ
SATMA are you just advertising? There's only 1 endorsement for that mod...
Cipscis
It's only been out for a few days, so there's nothing wrong with only having one endorsement so far. It's always difficult to get people to try out new mods, anyway. Cipscis
IvanJ
SATMA, on the 17th you had beta 1 2 and 3 of your mod, and on the 18th you had v1 release? Please... I asked for stable mods - I don't want to be your tester.

EssGeeDee
Well the load order looks pretty good, and I see you've got some major mods in there, so I suggest (If you don't have it already) that you download BOSS- Better Oblivion Sorting Software for Fallout 3. It knows a bunch of major mods, and will auto-sort them into teh best available config. It works wonders, I have FOOK2, MMM, WMK, CRI Squad, and another two dozen mods all running at the same time, and I rarely crash. When I do, it's because one of the mods decided to chuck in a shedload of models/whatever while I'm trying to play, and freeze my ancient system. duastar
On the load order, that should work. However, I have seen MMM do some strange things and was able to stabalize it by moveing the esp to just below the esm...I have no clue why this worked but it did. Just in case...Good luck and have fun.
