Mod request(s)

due to many reasons, mainly the setup of the toolset and then lack of great tutorials (I found some nice ones, but some didn't really help), I'd like to suggest a few mod requests

 

- A revival kit. It seems unfortunate that only a mage can ressurrect someone in battle and a revival kit would answer that. It would also be nice for a recipe with new parts for them (a little hard to find or rather expensive)

 

- Forced party banter. Those random conversations that your companions have with each other, I think it would be nice that if you were controlling one of your companions and talked with another companion (not the main hero), it should trigger such a conversation (instead of acting like the main hero triggered a conversation with the other companion).

 

- Spell control abilities, like for a mage having a tree of abilities that either reduced chance of friendly fire, or reduced mana cost or cooldown (which then I thought, the mage is already too powerful in my book, so I thought about abilities for everyone somehow tied to the relations bar (instead of just say minor willpower or moderate willpower, have the final one grant an ability of some sort each unique to the character. It would also make sense that the main hero have inspired abilities (so say if everyone has at least minor (attribute), then hero gets his own minor attribute increase). Most importantly have the final ability unique and connected to the character (not having a faster cooldown for everyone).

 

ideas

- have Wynne's revival ability* only "come into play" if she has all inspired abilities

* It's been speculated (I think, if not proven) that Wynne has a chance to come back from the dead, which is what I was referencing before, not the revival spell

- have Morrigan be able to shapeshift into (Possible Spoiler START)

Flemeth's dragon, provided you completed Flemeth's Grimiore

(Possible Spoiler END), perhaps even preventing the final inspired attribute + until that quest is completed

- for Alistair, you could have something involving Duncan, figuratively of course in some sort of buff

* Actually, thinking about Morrigan and then Sten, maybe it would be wise if all companions were denied that final inspiration until their personal quests were completed

 

 

Let me know if you want to take the last one, and I could give some more ideas

Just thought of another Mod,

 

you know when you go to open a chest and you can't because it's locked?

 

then the rogue of you're party (provided you have a rogue in your party) says, why don't you let me handle that?

 

well, the idea here is that when you go to unlock a chest, have the party member with the highest combination* of skill to open the chest

 

*that is if you have more than one rogue in your party and by highest combination, I mean because the lockpick skill "tree" counts 10 points for every skill level and cunning counts as cunning - 10 so add the two and the highest opens the chest

 

example

 

say you're a warrior and you have 2 rogues and a mage

 

well, you would check rogue 1

 

and say he/she has 3 in the lockpick skill and 10 cunning

 

and the other rogue has only 1 in lockpick but has 80 cunning

 

rogue 2 gets higher because rogue 1 = 30pts, and rogue 2 = 80pts * Of course that is only if the system actually calculates it like that (the only way I've heard)

 

get what I'm saying?

 

 

basically instead of just saying why don't i get that?, have the rogue actually get it

Morrigan's shapeshifted model would distort badly if that was implemented, just like in other shapeshift expansion mods avaiable.

 

The model would only appear properly on main character.

I wasn't aware of the lock bash mod's check, I thought it just broke the lock automatically, so I'll have to check that out again.

 

and as for Morrigan's shapeshift, I don't really know what's capable and not, and it was only an idea as to giving companions unique inspiration abilities.

though i admit it would have been way to powerful anyway.

I just thought of two more mods I'd like to see:

 

 

- Being able to tell what enemies have buff wise (right now we can only tell their health) could even have stamina/mana and maybe even what type they are (undead, darkspawn....)

 

 

- It seems likely that this was already mentioned, but I can't find it, the ability to avoid encounters (perhaps based on survivalism) and if it happens to be main quest encounter, have the avoid fail

One more idea,

 

A barber shop.

 

basically have the ability to recall the character generation sequence (without being able to select skills, class or background)

 

wouldn't have to be in party camp (it'd be a little nonsensical to have a following barber), just have them be in redcliff or denerim or somewhere.

 

that's it.
