RMONTER
I have a limited income for a new computer, and I am primarily relying on the sale of my laptop. I don't have much experience choosing new desktops. But bellow are a couple choices I have. If anyone has any suggestion it would be greatly appreciated. I have a ps3 but really like the mods for Fallout 3 and would like to get a desktop that can run it as good as the ps3. 1st is a Asushttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Factory...p;skuId=9721104 2nd is a Hphttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Factory-R...p;skuId=9720872 Also is there a significant difference between 2core dual and i7? roquefort
If you're on a budget it's worth checking out companies that replace & recycle corporate IT equipment. You can often get real bargains only a year or two old. You'd almost certainly have to buy & install the OS onto a clean disk, but that way you get an OEM version rather than pre-installed, which is good; and it can still work out cheaper in total. Probably need a better graphics card than an office machine would have though. If you do consider that route, make sure there's at least a month or so's guarantee. If the machine's bad, problems will show up quickly. I've been buying computers that way for some years now, and never had a bummer.

roquefort
Thanks never thought about checking out companies that recycle IT tech. I am also checking out deals on Craigslist.Make sure it's a reputable company (obviously) if you go for recycled. You'll need to be a little tech-savvy to the extent of knowing how to install the OS, download drivers & so on, and maybe upgrading cards/memory if need be. I'm in the UK, and have always used these people; http://www.rdcremarketing.com/shop/ If you're USA or elsewhere there will certainly be similar outlets.
