Realistic classes

Well hello everyone! Share your custom classes here... but please,

Great Sayajin, Commandos and even Ninjas abstain from doing so... I'd love to hear some ideas which sound realistic enough and do not feel completely out of place :) And do not bother trying to make

it a perfect character, I know that there are skills which are less

useful than others, but as long as it sounds realistic it's ok :)

I really like this topic BTW.

Well the character I'm playing right now is an Oblivion Syphonmage. Their main skills are Conjuration, Mysticism, Alteration, Destruction and Restoration. They are also versed in all three forms of armor wearing along with long sword. Mainly they use summons to fend off lesser enemies and for harder enemies they use a well devised method of summoning in conjecture with mysticism and destruction skills. For less strategic combat summoning an atronach (of any of the three types) to soak up damage while the caster uses an absorb spell on the atronach which then the caster fings massive affect spells at the atronach and combatant, thus restoring the atronachs health because of the absorb, annuling any damage because of using a destruction spell of the same type as the atronach while pounding away at the enemy.

Tougher enemies of the Syphonmage are, by their order, considered their equal in combat and deserve the honor of receiving death by the hands of the Syphonmage. Usually this means more harm to the caster however it is not without honor. Also the mage must (against other mages) attempt to trap the soul of those whos souls are worthy of being sustained after death.

Syphonmages are mostly straight up mages except for their tactics in fighting.

Well... REALISTIC... classes? Err. This is a fantasy game. But here we go.

English Longbowman

From a historical perspective, they wore light armor and carried short blades or other small weapons, due to the fact they would toss their bow if they were to be capture. You see the English Longbowman wer captured and ransomed back to their king, but not before their thumbs were cut off. So as I said they would often throw away their bows and try to look like light infantry, such as a scout.

The would be very good sneaks, setting up shots from distances to fire and not be seen, giving them time to get away if required. They would probably be skilled in atheletics for runing away or runing long distance to get set up the day before a battle. They would be fairly skilled acrobats being able to climb trees or ladders and such while still having all their equipment strapped onto them. I imagine they would use the armorer skill, because they'd have to take excellent care of their bow.

More to come as I think of them. ^_^

Yes, I am aware of the fact that Morrowind is a fantasy game. But

there is some sort of internal coherence in it as well. That is what

I call realism - respecting that coherence :)

What I wanted to say is that I would not like to see a Super Saiyan

in Morrowind, nor some kind of character taken from ANOTHER fantasy game (i.e. no "Blitz Player" from Final Fantasy X), nor some kind of character which would be compatible with a world such as Morrowind (i.e. no "Genetically-enhanced mutant cop" either) :)

Longbowmen would be a good class to play. Wizards, summoners and enchanters would be good classes too - because even though they do not exist in real life, they are consistent with Morrowind.

However thanks for your suggestions so far; I've tried working on some classes, but so far I haven't been very original... I have played as a RANGER, which is very common I think, and as a SKALD, which is

not as common but it is rather a reworked Nord version of the bard

rather than an altogether new class :)
