southernrock18
Hey guys, I am having a few difficulties merging a few mods using the FO3 Plugin Utility. I believe I have successfully merged many mods into one, but when I open up the new plugin with the merged files and edit the files in GECK, they do not change in game. I have to find which plugin the game is reading and then change the files in that plugin in order for the changes to take place, which completely defeats the purpose. The reason for me to merge them all, is because im trying to improve the laser weapons and most armors, and its kinda hard to when I have 10 mods and about 30 of the same named guns, along with the fact that it seems as if some mods are loading and some arent no matter what the load order is... I cannot find a good FO3 plugin tutorial on how to merge the files properly so any help would be nice.
gsmanners
You may be having trouble with conflicts, in which case the best way to deal with that is to read up on using FO3Edit. I would suggest the Web-enized FO3Edit Guide for that.
southernrock18
You may be having trouble with conflicts, in which case the best way to deal with that is to read up on using FO3Edit. I would suggest the Web-enized FO3Edit Guide for that. I read up on FO3 edit, and I got rid of all the conflicts with the mod. I even got rid of the slanted wattz laser files that Im trying to edit to make sure that I only have the ones that are being read by the game. Still, nothing. I still have to use the orignal plugin in order for the game to read the weapon. I know, I should just edit that plugin, but I am changing alot of other weapon and armor data, across several mods, I dont want to change all the values in every mod. It would be to much to keep track of. Any more ideas?
