Exes
So it's been a scorching hot summer here, and my 8800gtx has died after 3 summers of running at a constant 90C, so I went out and bought a cheapish replacement. I'm now the proud owner of a Radeon HD 5670, and to be honest I can't tell the performance difference too much between that and my old beasty card, but I've run into some issues with this Catalyst A.I thing... It sounds pretty smart, taking shortcuts in certain games to make it run better, but it seems like its messing with my texture filtering. I have Anisotropic Filtering set at 16x and when I get in game it looks like its turned off, then i switch to third person or turn a bit and all of the sudden it will start filtering them fine for a couple of seconds and then stop filtering a few seconds later. And no AF is UGLAY! Is there any option to give the card no choice but to render everything at 16x AF? There's no option to do so in the control panel like Nvidia's. Illiad86
make sure CCC is on advanced view, go into it, then go to 3D...go to Anisotropic Filtering and uncheck "use application settings". It will force AF for every game you have that way, same goes if you wanted to do it for AA. It will override your games settings for those if you have them turned on. Exes
Thanks :[ It still keeps doing it! It might be the drivers I'm using but they won't update, and its good enough I guess :P
