ShadowDragyn
I'm working on a new character's face through the toolset by replacing a preset with it, and for some reason I can't give my male character black eyeliner. I get it to work fine in the toolset, but once I load the face in-game the eyeliner is not there; everything else is completely fine.I've tried using different textures with different levels of opacity, and I've tried removing the dual face material blending. None of that has made a difference. Anyone know what could be going wrong?
DarkeWolf
the filename for the liner is most likely your problem. you will need to save an active copy of the eyeliner and change the gender part of the filename from EF HF or DF to EM DM or HM. Those refer to Elf Female, Human Female, and Dwarf Female. changing that part of the filename makes them Elf Male, Dwarf Male, or Human male.from the sounds of it the issue that you're having is that the game won't add a morph to a body that it's filename doesnt correlate to. IE- it won't put female parts on a male body. So you have to trick it, by making a male part file for hte male body. I also don't recommend JUST changing the EF extension in the filename, as it "MIGHT" already be taken by another file, so I'd add something like "_Eyeliner" at the end of the name, before the.extension after you've got that done, try recreating your model and see if it will export. good luck! ShadowDragyn
The file names don't have extensions like that. The one I'm trying to use, for example, is called "t1_mue_bk3.tnt".
DarkeWolf
hmmm k, well so much for that theory then.maybe try making it as a tattoo for males?
ShadowDragyn
I'd thought about that, but I have no idea where to find the files.
DarkeWolf
ugh, neither do I. I guess just look for the tattoo options in the morphs for the toolset and then use windows explorer to search for the filename, if you find the filename, do a right click on it and do properties on it, to see where it's located? I'm also starting to wonder if your chargen file might have something to do with it? I dont know much of anything about that particular file, but I know that if you want some of the custom hairs to be available to the character in the character creator, your chargen file has to have the new options listed or they wont show up as options.
