About sneaking, and misc questions

Hello :) Haven't posted on the forums that much before, as I have been very busy testing hundreds of mods and adjusting myself to the use of GECK. I have a few questions that arose when I haven't found what I was expecting to find...

1. About sneaking: Is it at all possible to affect detection distance of the player and adjust it according to his/her sneaking skill? What I mean here is kindof an ability to camouflage him/herself from detection... In real life squatting doesn't affect your detection at all, and moving squatted is actually a more sure way to get detected than moving slightly crouched. (I have been in military, and have been a Recon instructor, so I know something about sneaking;)

2. Weapon skills implementation: It seems, that everybody (except maybe raiders) in the wastelands have had sniper training except the player... If skill level 100 is the absolute maximum, then at that level you should be the best sniper in the world, and be able to hit about anything, moving or stationary... I myself use FOOK as its otherwise the most realistic "do it all" mod there is, but its just rediculous how inaccurate the weapons are in FO3. Anyway, no raider or supermutant should EVER be able to get skill level over 75 IF 100 is the best that one can be. Firing on full auto could be made a bit more realistic too.

3. Night vision: There are some very good NV glasses mods, and they are realistic enough, but... What about natural ability to see in the dark? I know the differences between people are huge in this area, and maybe a perk or implementation of perception score could be made to address this?

That's all for now, I'll think of more questions if I get some ideas or ansvers of how/why not ;)

shouldn't this technically be in the mod request section? Though I don't blame you for not doing so, that forum doesn't seem to be taken very seriously.

weapon skills really affect damage more than anything else past the early game. You can get pretty darn near minimum bullet spread with laser sight from WMK and maybe 50ish in skill, perhaps a perk or two (i forget the name). But the problem is that there is a minimum bullet spread for each gun hardcoded in the game. You could change the AI to make them more inaccurate but that's not really tied to their weapon skill persay.

I posted the topic here, as I am able to mod myself most of the things if they are indeed possible to do... As for the spread, I have 100 small guns skill, and the spread is still huge at distances over 100 meters for the FIRST bullet too (which should go right where you aim at). With sniper rifles its not a problem really as they do hit right where they are supposed to even at 1000 meters (I do have sights wobble even on 100 skill, but that's because of the mods I have, and I do have FOOK+WMK for some realism for fights).

I just want to know if these things are possible to mod, I will find a way to do it if they are :)

Ok, I think I know what to try and how I might manage to make sneaking more realistic on the visual side too. After going thru about every list I thought even remotely affecting sneaking in GECK, I'm wondering if the sneak toggle from crouching to standing is hardcoded...

More info on all 3 questions is still welcome :)

if you can get around the minimum bullet spread hardcoded into the game engine, props to you. Like I said, accuracy isn't as much of an issue with skill level, once you get past 50ish it's more for damage.

Ok, I will try playing with the AI values after I figure out the sneaking first... What I am aiming for in all this (maybe eventually), is to make all skill values matter for both (small guns and sneak at first) skills, and still to keep it realistic, and fun to play at the same time. I have made some progress in finding out what all is hidden inside the GECK, but it's always hard to adjust into a new editor, so it takes a while :)
