clockout1
Still getting my head around UV mapping. Does this look acceptable for the roof? zprospero
Looks perfect. The beams look good too. UV Mapping is hard but when you start makinga texture your realize how much a good one helps.
clockout1
Almost finished adding seams to the beams. I think I'm starting to get used to this. EDIT: I have a question. Just because there are about ten faces making up one side, does that mean I have to mark a seam on all of them, or treat them as one face?
zprospero
You're doing really well and it looks great. The fact that you've managed to mesh what you havemeans you've gotten further along than a lot of peoplewho start out in Blender. EDIT: Treat them as a single face. clockout1
Well, I admit I lied a little. I have had some past experience with Blender, yet nothing of this scale. I have also never made anything of this quality (far from it) so I guess I could still be considered new to Blender. Like a noob who understands everything, but has never used it. zprospero
Well, regardless, it's still impressive work.
clockout1
Thanks. Hopefully I'll finally be able to make my brother create a texture. I've asked him to make about five so far. One is half complete and really buggy, the others, untouched XD EDIT: Here's progress so far http://www.mediafire.com/?yy4kh20otmn
zprospero
If you have the UV map sorted out I can make the texture. What do you want the house to look like?
clockout1
I can probably get my brother to do it so right now I'm all set. Does the UV map look Ok so far?
zprospero
All right, then. It looks okay, it's a little hardto tell what goes where, but that happens alot with this sort of thing. I'd try making some seams that trace the outlineof the walls of the house and see what that does. It might make parts easier to identify. I'm afraid that's about as much as I can help you with.I use Blender, but I actually don't mesh in it. I'd referto that Noob to Pro blender book for any more details.
