I would like to see the Tunneler Hide be added with the Geko's HIde so you can craft them into armor. The Tunneler Hide could add somekind of a bonus to crouching speed. Thanks I'm doing a retexture of gecko hide armor (for a HH expansion) and a tunnler armor, both with the actual texture of the respective creatures so it looks like a authentic skin. Something like I did for the deathclaw armor (I'll also be expanding the deathclaw armor to include leather armor, reinforced leather etc). I'll put a glow map on it to preserve the luminescence, and include their spikes as well. The one thing I was curious about though, is it doesn't seem like the tunnel runner perk would really apply from the hide. It's only tangentially related, by virtue of both being in LR. Nor does the stealth boy effect, as (to the best of my imperfect memory) I don't recall them having any stealth ability. I'm not sure hte armor would really have much in the way of a perk. It's not nearly as tough as deathclaw hide (they have +15 DT, tunnlers and geckos have 0). Any thoughts on a perk based on teh physiology of the skin? The wiki says that "Their enlarged eyes appear to be an adaptation to the conditions of their preferred habitat and are sensitive to light; a condition which would explain their extreme aversion to weapons like flash bangs and flare guns, and to the sun itself." I think that's interesting since it ties into their biology. But I think it's referring exclusively to their eyes, which wouldn't give any advantage to a tunneler skin/hide. But I poked aroudn in the geck and the wiki isn't accurate. They do have some DT bonuses. The DT bonuses start at 2 for a normal tunneler, go up to 5 for the brutes/hulking tunnelers, and 10 for the queen (the wiki does have the correct dt bonus for the queen). So maybe the way to go is to have three different hides, resulting in higher than normal DT leather armors. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
