dom2772
Hello I'm new to modding and am planning to start my first one soon (already have an idea) However a few things in it will need custom meshes and i was wondering if anyone could tell me a good program to use to create them (ones with tutorials would help). Thanks
Unavi
I'd suggest Blender, as it is free and has a big, friendly comunity. Some people say that it has a terrible interface but i love it. It's the best free 3d modeling program out there. http://www.blender.org/

zprospero
Blender is the most full featured of the free 3D modeling programs, but it's interface is a little daunting. This video series is what helped me acclimate myself to it's quirks,it's specifically for making and adding a weapon to Oblivion: Link I don't use Blender, but the community for what I use is pretty dead. I use Anim8or for the actual meshing: Link It's a great tool to start out in, but you'll still need Blender to get anything in-game,and the community is pretty dead. Megatarius
I can't stand Blender's interface, but if you're just starting out, you are actually very lucky that a free program like Blender has so many deep seated and subtle features. It is actually a full-fledged game engine in itself.
