thraxk
Hi guys just started getting into this and right now im just working on modifying my gameplay settings to increase my own enjoyment. So far some stuff i've been getting into has had to do with fjumpheightmin and fmoverunmult. It took me a while to figure out how fast i wanted to move and how high i could jump- been having a a blast tweaking different things just for fun. My only jump question- Is there always an invisible ledge if you jump too high? Whats the deal with that? removable or what? So my next idea was for a new game start with super experience so i could say go discover the first few locations really close to Vault 101 and get a bunch of levels off of it. I been using commands i got from http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Settings I finally got all my experience stuff inputted, and admittedly im new to this and not as familiar with the game as i could be, so im basically just checking some things out. Heres my modified commands: iXPRewardDiscoverMapMarker 500 iXPRewardPickLockVeryEasy 250 iXPDeathRewardHealthThreshold 450 iXPLevelKillCreatureVeryEasy 6 To the best of my understanding when i did it and from reading the wiki thing, this would; give me larger than usual amounts of exp when picking very easy locks, killing very easy creatures, , and when finding map markers. Plus raise the level restriction on the title "very easy" creatures to lvl 6.It does give me the 500 for discovering markers, but not when i kill very easy creatures, and i couldnt tell if it actually "raises" the level. I wouldnt mind cutting it down to just giving massive exp for discovering locations since that worked easily, but how do i make the experience actually level me up? When i tested this out, i got 500xp for discovering a location, and it only put me past my required exp to level at an improper fraction instead of just making me level up. How can i fix this? Any help would be great, im new to this and would like to be able to execute my ideas. Thanks in advance!

WoogieMonster
well damn. could some one at least direct me to a place where people actually do help you out? Your first post is well-written and explains your problem in enough detail that someone will be able to help you, which sometimes can take a while, especially during the evening on a weekend. This is not a chat room, you will not always get instant replies, and if you bump the thread every few minutes to nag, you'll only succeed in getting ignored by those who can help and getting your thread locked. rjhelms84
Well, I don't know much about editing the settings in this way. But, if all you want is to level up really quickly, just open the console and type "advlevel", then close the console. Level up, then repeat as necessary. GrandsonOfSam
iXPRewardDiscoverMapMarker 500 iXPRewardPickLockVeryEasy 250 iXPDeathRewardHealthThreshold 450 iXPLevelKillCreatureVeryEasy 6iXPDeathRewardHealthThreshold 450 <- the number here is the percentage you need to do damage on a creature/NPC to get the EXP reward for killing it, so the number ranges from 1 to 100. With a value of 1, you need to do 1% of the damage done on the opponent to get the reward, which basically means that you don't need to worry about your follower or other combatants "stealing" you kills. For values over 100%, I have no idea what happens then... The amount of EXP gained for killing the opponent doesn't raise with that game setting, it's controlled by another list of values, also under iXP. I hope this clears the problem for you. What you should keep in mind is, that the opponents use higher level lists for weapons, armor, skills, HP and such, so if you level yourself to 30 in a few hours, you will be fighting max leveled opponents, and you probably are still using a pistol, smg or an assault rifle. Just something to keep in mind.

GrandsonOfSam
I just told the OP how he/she can make a MOD, ofcourse rjhelms84's advice is the "easy way". It however doesn't ansever the original question. This is after all the FO3 mod troubleshooting forum :) No flaming intended, just trying to help :)
