Qasid
I'd ask for a huge change in the logics of AI. Like, not only guards are psyching, like knowing whether you've stolen or murdered, even if anyone hasn't seen you. They also recognise you everywhere. I mean, let's suppose you've killed someone in Skingrad, and go to Bruma after that for the first time, the guards will come to arrest you! How the f*** do they know who you are, and that you've killed someone, if they have never seen you, and the only WANTED posts are of the Grey Fox guy huh? It's cool, the world is alive etc... But not logic. At all. Latholas, I have infamy, and people still talk to me. 20 fame 20 infame. Maybe cos I'm balanced? Does it work like positive/negative and all that? What else? Oh yes, I *hate* the speechcraft thingy. Please change it! And I want to change weapons and spells rolling the mouse wheel! Like in Morrowind! And the map modification would be nice too. Just like bringing back the layers thing. Few issues with clothing. First, now armors are a whole, you don't get like left and right pauldrons etc, so you can't really make cool combinations. Second, how many fingers have you got? I've got 10 in my hands... But I can only wear 2 rings. Most races have 10 fingers as well don't they? Well I've just played with a nord, but for sure, a Nord has more than 2 fingers. Thirdly and most important, why can't I wear an armor and a robe upon the armor anymore? I love that in Morrowind! It was quite useful. And finally - I agree with whoever said it before, what's the point in leveling if everything else also levels with you? The game is always as easy or as hard. Oh no not finally. What do you think of the sneaking system? It depends on 1) your ability 2) amount of light. So it doesn't matter if you're amongst the bushes, or hiding amongst boxes, or if instead you're in the middle of open ground. In fact, you'll get better sneaking on open ground in the dark, than hiding in the bushes under the moonlight. I don't know, it was quite of a disappointment, seeing they've been developing almost for 4 years, I was expecting a bit more.
o-seven
I guess this is almost a given, but let's hope they fix some of the ridiculous infinite items and infinite money glitches you can find videos showing. I know you can just refrain from using the glitches, but - I don't know - it just ruins the big picture, and besides it prevents you from being tempted, you know? MiNalien
Quasid, most of what you posted about has already been added to the list, please dont post things that are on there already. And the sneaking system seems just fine to me, though it would be nice if things like bushes would detract from an NPC's ability to see you. As for the wanted posters of the Gray Fox, GF was along long before your character arrived, and he's done a lot more than the game's engine will allow the player to do. The rings thing was more of a balance issue, to prevent people from being buffed up by 10 rings each granting a different magical defense, possibly making the character immune to everything, thus preventing invulnerability. finniksa
With the psychic guard overhaul, I think you should be able to talk your way out of it. Bribe the guard to look the other way, or use those otherwise useless speechcraft points to just talk yourself out of jail, a fine, etc. Of course, if you fail the speechcraft, you might have to pay more or something like that, and the higher the bounty, the harder it would be. In the same situation, fame and infamy should also be noticed. If I steal a potato and have a bounty of 5 or something, but I just saved a town from an Oblivion gate, I mean, that should count for something right? 8) Also, I hate that when I'm caught, it zooms up to the guard's face (since I was sneaking), making it seem like I'm a kid looking up at an angry parent. If someone is sleeping, it should be very easy to pickpocket off of them. Currently, if some lowbie NPC is sleeping, it's difficult even with 120 sneak to pickpocket successfully. Even if I'm actually 100% invisible, they will immediately know I pickpocketed them and then put a bounty on my head without even seeing me. Somehow, they knew it was me even though I was invisible and they sent a text-message to a guard nearby or something. It's crazy! Items that are Oblivion-acquired, like Harrada or Bloodgrass or anything like that, should be really expensive. I mean, you went to... well, Hell and back to get them, kinda. Fix the problem with vampirism and female heads (some female vampires have the default male head unless you load a non-vampire game first then reload your vampire game.) It would be nice to be able to not have the Confirmation for buying and selling items also. It's just a hassle if you have a ton of stuff to sell. Shift-click to sell and bam, sold. If I don't use skill training sessions in a level, let them accrue. So for example, I didn't train any skills for 5 levels. I think I should be able to train them at any time after you've earned it. If I put an item in a chest in someone's house (because, in theory I might have acquired their key once they... "left"..) I'd like that item to still be there in a few days. The chest can respawn if it's empty but I don't think it should respawn if there's stuff in it already. I would like to be able to bash open locks. Some can be warded magically, sure. But if there's a wooden crate and I'm an Orc standing there with a two-handed hammer... You could make any items damaged if they're armor or weapons though, or have a random chance of damaging or removing items. If it's a door, it would be loud so guards or sleeping NPCs might hear it. Can the adoring fan have some kind of purpose aside from annoying me to death with his orange hershey-hair? (Yes, I know there are mods for this, but I don't want him to be awesome, just.. maybe have a quest that scrapes him off or makes him cooler or something.) An in-game clock (or an option to turn on an in-game real-life or game-time clock, or both) and an in-game, game-time calendar. I want to know what day/season and time it is without opening my tab-menu. Ability to spar with fighter's guild members using wooden/padded weapons or some magical damage dampener or something, or have the ability to get skill-ups from using the targets for practice if you have low-skill in a weapon. When an arrow hits someone or something, I don't think the target's friends should know where you are immediately if you're hidden. Not all creatures or people would be able to look at how the body landed in relation to the direction of the arrow in the body to deduce where the shot could have come from. Merchants' inventories should be in chests somewhere in their shops, with keys on their bodies. I heard this was in Morrowind but I didn't play that so I'm not sure if it's the same thing. If the level-scaling is fixed, that would be good. Currently I see no reason to level, other than to get that stat bonus and more training slots. And why would a bandit wearing glass armor attack me? He should be out ruling a small village or something with that kind of cash. Please make the fighter's guild porter stop following me like a music store security guard follows a pre-teen with a big school bag? I mean, he isn't helpful, he doesn't say much if anything, and all he does is follow and stare. What a creep. Some of these are personal observations, of course! They might be more suited as a mod rather than a patch, I guess, but I posted them here just in case anyone else liked them too. My main annoyance is psychic guards though. I can't stand that! SoulBlazer_87
- Ability to add more than one enchantment on armor. even if it is powered down like weapons. I agree with a different travel system BUT there are already a couple of mods about it: the Nexus mod, the mage guild teleport mod and the travelogue mod to name a few. (sorry I don't remember the authors but all of them are great)-More combat animations there are like 12-13 animations in total.. Please I need more power attack animations!!!-I also agree with more hot-keys... I play a mage and I desperately need these hot-keys.. Try finding your spells when you have most standard spells of the game plus 10 of your own... Its a living hell!!!-Unarmored skill..I have already posted a request for it... go ccheck it out. -More npc dialogues!!! plaese when I hear about mudcrabs in Bruma I go nuts...-A warning when you are in low health-magicka and when your weapons are damaged...-An attack to damage an enemys weapons. You can't cast disintegrate when you are no mage thus you have no way of disarming your opponent except disarm power attack which I rarely see working properly... Guest
I have only one request: rework this terrible level-up system. It is simply idiot. >:(
Elgen
as mentioned, fix the leveled lists, the Nif importer/exporter. I retain (is that a word?) the right to change or add any of these things
icesin
-Something to replace fast travel. Like a public transport (horse carrier?) between cities. I hate the fast travel. They need to make a travel system more like morrowind, something that takes you to the cities, but you got to walk/run everywhere else makes the game more life like then jumping from one place to another. I agree with Grass
cyberelle
clothes... let them do something about it.. so that people will find a reason to wear clothes instead of staying in amour all the time
kittenkiss
Can I make the very important pleading request that if you are going to nix something important like fast travel that you make it an OPTION so that those of us (ME) who like it (ME) can keep it?! Also - I don't mind the levelling system but it'd be nice to see a few more variations - ie, a wider range of levels of creature, a lil more random like? And you know - the ones where the guards in one town shouldn't know you've pickpocketed somoene in another town ... Yes I agree. They also shouldnt know what's stolen unless someone has told them or it's famous. Oh and you should be able to get away with taking some grapes off the table IF YOU SAVE THE PUCKING FLANET!! Ugh. Also - end game - *spoiler* when that guy sighs and says "oh well no more emporer" it might be nice if oh I don't know, you could actually become emporer? Perha[s thats a mod for some intrepid writer ... XD
